As the speed freaks & petrol heads gear themselves for the much anticipated annual Simola Hillclimb, the organizers are starting to announce the events calendar and we all know who ACTUALLY stole the show this year right 😜

Here's taking it back to the end of April, showing just a lil of what we got up to!!!

We would loooove to hear from our community: shall we take to the streets again next year? 📢 Simola Hillclimb ? Big dawg Greg Moloney ? 💪🏻

Our heritage moves. It beats. It dances. 🥁

This Heritage Day we celebrate the rhythms that raised us, the cultures that shape us, and the stories we tell through dance.🎶💃🇿🇦

From hip pop to contemporary, from modern to freestyle - every step is a piece of who we are.

Happy Heritage Day from our family to yours.🤍🇿🇦

There is NO amount of photos or videos that could do this moment enough justice! To fully grasp what this group represents - children from ALL backgrounds, circumstances, neighborhoods AND skill level! Grade 1 to Grade 7 all passionately and intentionally placed by a coaching team that works to lift them higher than this industry will demand they CANT soar... This was a huge moment for us and having them not only receive 88%, Gold but also the overall Jnr Novice group award AND invited to perform at the prestiges Gala invitational at the '26 Nelson Mandela Bay Festival was a testimony that the work we do here serves a higher purpose!

No competition team here - just a team!!!! Damn we're proud! 💥

Being a first of its kind along the Garden Route, Macx Academy celebrated its 1 year establishment and it is only with the support of our incredible community - especially our host sponsors Knysna Primary School Knysna Primary Pre-Primary School that our dancers were included in their first "official" and highly prestiges award ceremony.

Being a coach or on the management team, however proved to be the worst role when it came to this incredible achievement as only 5 trophies were awared and we have almost 60 INCREDIBLY talented dancers 😭

Well done to our 2025 recipients:

🥁 Tristan Viljoen & Duncan Redfurn (Jnr rising star - male)
🥁 Janke Roos (Jnr rising star - female)
🥁 Lathi Tiki (Most improved dancer)
🥁 Lithe Vonya (Jnr dancer o/t yr)
🥁 Layla v d Merwe (Snr rising star)
🥁 Chioma Tagbo & Fiah-Bella Fredericks (Snr dancer o/t yr)

Cant wait to see who claim the 2026 titles !

When these kids first stepped onto the stage a year ago, it was seeing the bright lights for the FIRST TIME (ever), hearing a roaring crowd, for the FIRST TIME (ever), pulling faces, dancing (relatively 🤣) insync with all the chommies for the FIRST TIME... yes - EVER!!! Almost 40 beautiful faces and 1 super special coach Antonio Cleophas being brought together by an extraordinary under-rated NPO (Sain➕️ Savan➕️ ) with only raw talent, working towards being called a "team"...

They took their first Gold at the SACOPA regionals that day - then another Gold at their second comp at DANCE FOR GROWTH in Mosselbay .... this was the ONLY colour they were introduced to from day 1... guess its only natural to pressume where they're at today 🤭😉
