Interschools finals took place on Saturday 19 September 2026 at Wits University, School of Law.
Interschools English Public Speaking was my very first introduction into Competitive Orators in 2024. And Louw Breytenbach, my very first adjudicator. This man has no idea how much positive energy, encourgament and motivation he exudes! It is with this new-found courage, that I included Afrikaans in my portfolio in 2025. And again, after meeting up with Louw in person after prizegiving, I was further motivated to also add Billingual in 2026. (Although Interschools don't have a Billingual section....yet??)

I would like to thank Louw for all the things he does for Culture in South Africa. He is not only a main part of Interschools, he is also involved with the National Arts Assocciation and so many more other programs that breeds culture in every breath. It is so amazing to have so many opportunities in Public Speaking competitions, Eisteddfods and more!

And you would not believe what an incredible person this man is in real life! Such an inspiration!! I hope to be able to stand in his shadow one day.

Just returned from Pronk Podium, Die Wilgers and what an amazing final experience this truly was!! We had so much fun on the bus and on stage. I am very proud of this production, not only because I was an "extra" in it, but because it was my baby. I wrote and directed Sonneblom, acted as stage manager and brought this whole vision in my head to life. That was the real accomplishment - seeing on stage what I had invisioned in my head. So proud of all the actors and technical staff - who brought their best and it showed on stage 🌻

Home sweet home... at least for another 30mins. Then we're off on Toneel toer to participate at Die Wilgers fees for Pronk Podium 🎭🎭 And when we get back, it's time to hit the books really hard for Trial Exams while simultaneously preparing for a few orator finals. Busy busy bee...

BJI Tour Update Day 11: We are all packed up and ready for the airport... Not quite sure if we are ready for the loooong flights, but we are eager to get home. This was such an incredible experience and we have had so much fun. Again, thank you to everyone who have made this possible. This was truly a dream come true. I could not have gotten here without all the support 💕 Thank you to for making it all possible. These memories will carry us through the upcoming record exams when real life gets heavy 🎯♥️

BJI Tour Update Day 10: Today was another day of tough competition. I've been blessed with this experience and achieved an enormous amount of personal growth. I have enjoyed my time here, but I am missing my people and my home. Thank you to everyone who have supported me on this journey. I am honoured to have your support💕 SA in 48hours!!
