A Strong Start to Mpumalanga SA School Trials/ Age Group 5🌟

What an inspiring start to the weekend. The Mpumalanga Age Group 5 Gala, which also serves as the official Trials for SA Schools, sets the tone beautifully for the months ahead.

Our swimmers have arrived with energy, heart, and determination. From personal bests to brave first-time races, the pool was alive with talent and promise today!

A heartfelt thank you to Middelburg for the exceptional hosting and the warm sense of fellowship. The atmosphere was welcoming, well-organised, and full of the kind of sportsmanship that reminds us why we love this sport.

With this strong start behind us, we now look forward to the rest of the SA Schools Trials amd also Championships at the end of April. Mpumalanga is ready, united, and motivated to shine on the national stage.

Mpumalanga Swimming (MPS) is inviting applications for the position of Provincial Secretary & Data Processor, following the vacancy of the post.
Position: Provincial Secretary & Data Processor
Organisation: Mpumalanga Swimming
Office Hours: As per pre-determined office hours
Remuneration: R6 500 per month
Appointment: Appointed by the Executive (Not an elected position)
Key Responsibilities include:
✅ Office administration and record keeping
✅ Registrations of swimmers, clubs, coaches & officials
✅ Managing emails, calendars & official communications
✅ Processing gala entries, meet setups & results
✅ Data capturing and maintenance of swimmer databases
✅ Attendance at ALL provincial galas as the official Data Capturer
✅ Supporting meetings, training courses & events
✅ Procurement of office, training & event-related items
✅ Managing provincial records and colours
⚠️ This position requires availability to attend galas, including weekends, as per the provincial swimming calendar.
Requirements:
✔ Strong admin and organisational skills
✔ Computer literate (Google Drive, Team Manager, Meet Manager – advantage)
✔ Good communication skills
✔ High level of confidentiality & professionalism
✔ Knowledge of swimming structures (advantage)
