💫 Adela Valkyrie – A Comeback Worth Celebrating 💫

We are incredibly proud of Adela Valkyrie, who delivered two solid performances at the Gauteng leg of the DSA Challenge this past weekend — placing 3rd in the qualifier and finishing 4th in the Championship class, in an exceptionally strong field where just a whisker of a percentage separated her from the winner. 🌟

What makes this even more special is that this was only our second show back after a 10-month break from training and competition. Rider Maxine de Villiers recently returned to the saddle after her twin pregnancy, and she and Valkyrie have only been back in work for just over a month. We’re still on the journey of rebuilding strength, balance, and fitness, but it’s so encouraging to see flashes of the partnership we had before — and a glimpse of what’s still to come. ❤️

Valkyrie’s pedigree is nothing short of exceptional:

🌟 Adela Balenciaga – A Star in the Making 🌟

We couldn’t be prouder of Adela Balenciaga and her wonderful owner and rider, Lauren Koen, for their fantastic performance at their first ever DSA Challenge this past weekend! The pair put in a beautifully polished test to earn a well-deserved 3rd place in the Preliminary Championship on Sunday – a massive achievement for their debut at this level. 👏🐴

Balenciaga comes from a very special pedigree:
💫 Sired by the late La Sœur Bulgari, a stallion of rare quality who sadly passed far too soon, leaving behind only a limited number of exceptional offspring.
💫 Her dam, Adela Querida, is by Compton House Quantico, a proven champion stallion in his own right, with multiple titles to his name.

We are incredibly proud of our young dressage-bred stallion, Adela Revelation (Revolution/Sunsethit/Comeback II) who shone brightly at the DSA Challenge, winning both his preliminary classes in superb form!

With his elegance, power, and exceptional rideability, Revelation now sits at the top of the national leaderboard in the Preliminary division — a promising start to what we believe will be a standout career.

💫 Bred for brilliance, Revelation boasts fully imported bloodlines, sired by none other than Helgstrand’s Revolution, who is currently making his mark at Grand Prix level in Europe, combining power, presence, and world-class talent.

He is out of our Bronze Medal mare, Adela Juwel Gersdorf, a former dressage champion with an impressive competitive record and a proven broodmare. Her oldest living progeny, Dane Stud Fine Art, is now competing at Medium level with numerous championship titles to his name — testament to the quality and consistency she passes down.

We are beyond proud of our Adela horses after an incredible finish at the DSA Challenge Championships! Their talent, heart, and consistency shone through in top-class company.

🥇 Adela Revelation brought home the win in the Preliminary Championship, showcasing elegance and accuracy from start to finish.
🥉 Adela Balenciaga delivered a brilliant test to secure 3rd place, making it two out of three podium spots claimed by Adela-bred horses!

🔥 In the Novice Championship, the ever-consistent Adela Valkyrie earned a very respectable 4th place in a hotly contested class — with less than 1% separating 1st and 4th. A true testament to how competitive the field was!
