🤍 Imagine if every Mother heard this first . .
That it’s OK to hold your Baby for as long as you need.
That it’s OK if they fall asleep on your chest.
That it’s OK to feed them to sleep, to share a room, to give in.
It’s OK to kiss them constantly,
for them to cling to you,
for them to need you deeply -
and for you to need them too.
Just hold your Baby.
Skin-to-skin them.
You cannot spoil a Baby.
You are their survival.
All they want is you.
Doula your Babies.
Hold them close. You are doing it beautifully. 🤍

✨ The “Golden Hour” is often spoken about in Birth spaces, but many Mothers are never fully told just how meaningful this first hour after Birth can truly be.
The Golden Hour refers to the uninterrupted time immediately after Birth where Mother and Baby remain skin-to-skin whenever safely possible.
During this time, Baby is placed directly onto the Mother’s chest, allowing both to rest, regulate, connect, and transition together after labor.
While it may appear simple from the outside, there is so much happening here, physically, emotionally, hormonally, and neurologically.
During skin-to-skin contact, Baby is able to hear the familiar rhythm of the Mother's heartbeat, regulate Body temperature more effectively, stabilize breathing and blood sugar levels, and begin instinctive feeding behaviors. Mothers, too, often experience hormonal support through oxytocin release, helping with bonding, emotional connection, breastfeeding, and even recovery after Birth.
But beyond the science, there is something deeply human about protecting this space.
Birth is not simply a medical event.
It is a profound transition.
A Mother has journeyed through intensity, vulnerability, strength, surrender, and transformation. A Baby has journeyed from the safety of the womb into an entirely new world. The Golden Hour allows both to meet one another gently before the noise, interruptions, and expectations of the outside world begin.
🎀 And, each and every single Mother deserves to know that . .
You are allowed to want uninterrupted time with your Baby.
You are allowed to ask questions.
You are allowed to include your Birth Wishes and preferences.
You are allowed to advocate for calm, connection, and informed care.
Of course, every Birth unfolds differently, and sometimes medical support must take priority. But when circumstances allow, protecting the Golden Hour can be incredibly grounding and beneficial for both Mother and Baby.
There is no “perfect” Birth.
There is only your experience, your voice, your Body and your Baby.
And every Mother deserves to feel informed, supported, and gently held through it all. 🤍

From PCOS to PMOS: A More Accurate Reflection for Women’s Health 🤍
In May 2026, an important and deeply meaningful shift began taking place within women’s health conversations, as the term Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) started transitioning toward a more accurate and representative name: Polymetabolic O***y Syndrome (PMOS).
For many women, this change is about far more than terminology, it is validation.
For years, the name “PCOS” centred heavily around ovarian cysts, despite the fact that many women diagnosed with the condition do not actually present with cysts on their ovaries. This often led to misunderstanding, confusion, delayed diagnoses, and the minimisation of symptoms that extended far beyond reproductive health alone.
The term PMOS better reflects what medical professionals and researchers have increasingly recognised over time - That this condition affects far more than the ovaries. It can impact metabolic health, hormones, inflammation, insulin regulation, emotional wellbeing, skin health, energy levels, fertility, and overall quality of life.
This shift acknowledges the deeply layered experiences so many women have quietly carried for years.
If you are navigating PMOS, please know this gently. .
Your Body is not failing you.
Bodies communicate in many different ways, through fatigue, irregular cycles, inflammation, skin changes, mood fluctuations, pain, anxiety, cravings, or simply the quiet feeling that something within your Body does not feel right.
Yet, so many women are taught to normalise their symptoms, minimise their discomfort, or continue pushing through silently.
But persistent symptoms should never be ignored.
It may be worth considering professional support if you have been experiencing symptoms such as irregular or painful menstrual cycles, excessive fatigue, difficulty managing weight, acne, hair thinning, increased facial or Body hair growth, bloating, insulin resistance, fertility concerns, or ongoing hormonal and emotional fluctuations - Especially if these symptoms have persisted for months or continue worsening over time.
Listening to your Body is not overreacting.
Seeking answers is not weakness.
And advocating for your health is an act of self-respect.
A more accurate name cannot erase the journey many women have walked, but it can create space for deeper understanding, earlier intervention, gentler support, and more compassionate conversations moving forward.
You deserve to feel heard.
You deserve support.
And you deserve care that sees the full picture of your health. 🤍

đź©· Today, we celebrate every kind of Mother. .
The women who give endlessly through love, nurturing, guidance, sacrifice, patience, softness, and strength.
The ones who hold families together in quiet ways that often go unseen.
To the Mothers in every season - New Mothers, experienced Mothers, grieving Mothers, hopeful Mothers, Grandmothers, StepMothers and the women whose care naturally nurtures those around them. . You are deeply valued and appreciated. 🌸
May today be a gentle reminder that your love matters more than words could ever fully express.
And may we all take a moment to lighten the load for all the beautiful Mothers we love, not only today, but often. Sometimes the smallest acts of care become the most meaningful.
Happy Mother’s Day. 🤍

Yesterday, on the 5th of May, we honoured the International Day of the Midwife - A day dedicated to recognising and celebrating the incredible Midwives who support, guide, nurture, and advocate for Mothers and Babies through one of life’s most sacred journeys. 🤍
Midwives do far more than assist in Birth. They provide emotional support, reassurance, education, advocacy, and compassionate care throughout pregnancy, labour, Birth, and the postpartum period.
They stand beside women in moments of vulnerability and transformation, offering calm, wisdom, strength, and safety every step of the way.
As a Doula, it is such a privilege to work alongside remarkable Midwives whose dedication and gentleness continue to inspire me deeply. đź©·
Thank you for the countless hours, the emotional labour, the nurturing hands, and the unwavering commitment you pour into caring for Mothers, Babies and families.
The role of a Midwife is truly invaluable. Midwives help Mothers feel heard, informed, respected, and empowered throughout their Birth journeys. They carefully monitor the wellbeing of both Mother and Baby, provide essential guidance and education, support physiological Birth where safely possible, and continue offering care long after Birth has taken place.
Their work is deeply holistic and profoundly meaningful. 🌸
Midwives do not simply help bring Babies into the world, they help bring Mothers into themselves, with tenderness, courage, and care that echoes far beyond Birth.
Behind so many safe Births, comforted Mothers, and welcomed Babies, is the quiet strength of a Midwife.
We honour and deeply thank you for the care, compassion, wisdom, and love you bring into the world every single day. 🤍

✨ Today, we pause in quiet gratitude for the hands and hearts that carry the world forward.
Worker’s Day is more than a moment of rest - It is a gentle acknowledgment of dedication, resilience, and care in all its forms.
And within the Birth space, this gratitude feels especially profound.
To the Doulas, Midwives, Doctors, Nurses, and every soul who stands beside new life as it enters the world. .
Your work is deeply sacred.
You hold space in moments of vulnerability, strength, and transformation.
You witness beginnings with compassion and presence.
You remind us that care is not just a profession, but a calling.
Today, we honour not only the work that is done, but the love that is poured into it.
With appreciation, always. 🤍

Your Body has done something extraordinary. A cesarean Birth is still a Birth, and your healing deserves just as much gentleness, patience, and honour. 🤍
During Cesarean Awareness Month, we hold space for every Mama navigating recovery after a C-Section.
Healing after a C-Section is not only about your incision, it is about allowing yourself to rest, receive support, and recover without guilt.
