My name is Carla van Huyssteen. I am a physiotherapist ,previous professional triathlete and recent mom of 2 little boys.
I became very interested in pelvic health as a field of physio after the birth of my first son, whereafter I struggled severely with stress incontinence which brought my running career to an abrupt halt.
After seeking help, and luckily finding the right therapist to go to, I learnt a lot of things about my body, bladder and what influences the ability to stay continent, things I wish I had known before and I wish to share some of these with other woman (and men) that might be struggling with some elements of pelvic dysfunction.
