Every leader needs a North Star.
Not because it guarantees certainty, but because when pressure rises, decisions get heavier and circumstances change, you need something deeper than the moment to orient yourself around.
Without that, it becomes surprisingly easy to build something successful while slowly drifting away from why you started in the first place.

You already know exactly why you do it - so why are you still doing it?
That question sits underneath almost every high performer’s frustration with their own repeated patterns — the ones they can explain in complete detail and still find themselves repeating under pressure. In the new episode, I unpack why insight and behaviour run on two entirely different systems, why explaining a pattern isn’t the same as changing it, and what actually has to happen for a new response to become automatic instead of forced.

You can understand a pattern completely and still do the exact same thing under pressure. I used to think that meant something was wrong with someone's discipline. It doesn't.
There's a layer underneath insight that insight can't reach on its own. The part of you that can explain your triggers, your childhood, your go-to move under stress — that part is articulate and fast, and it has almost no authority over the part of you that actually runs the pattern in real time. That part was wired in before you had language for any of it, and it doesn't take instructions. It takes experience.
Someone reached out after watching this and said it was the first time the "why can't I just stop doing this" question actually made sense to them — not as a character flaw, but as an old alarm system still doing exactly the job it was built to do.
If you've ever caught yourself repeating something you've already named, already understood, already promised yourself you'd change — this one's for you. Link to watch below.

Most leaders don’t have a strategy problem.
They have a capacity problem.
I call it the Capacity-Safety Loop and it doesn’t start with your team. It starts with you. When your capacity drops, the whole organisation feels it before you do.
Wrote about it on the blog, link below. Free field guide at the end if it lands.👌

Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do.
They struggle because there’s a gap between what they know and what they can consistently embody.
In this video, I unpack why smart, self-aware people often stay stuck, how cognitive dissonance works, and why awareness alone rarely creates lasting change.
If you’ve ever found yourself thinking, “I know exactly what I need to do, so why am I not doing it?” this one’s for you.

Most high performers are solving the wrong problem.
They think they have a time problem.
What they actually have is a capacity problem.
Not the same thing.
Not the same solution.
Time pressure is external — the clock, the deadline, the full calendar. You can manage that by reorganising your schedule.
Cognitive load is structural. It's the processing demand on the part of your brain responsible for judgment, decision-making, and emotional regulation.
And it runs out — regardless of how well organised your week is.
When it does, you don't stop.
You keep going.
But the quality of everything slowly degrades.
Your decisions. Your presence. Your relationships.
That is not a scheduling problem.
The diagram shows the misdiagnosis most leaders are living inside.
Which column does your current solution sit in?

I spent years believing the problem was strategy.
That if I could just find the right system, the right routine, the right level of discipline — the hollow feeling underneath the performance would sort itself out.
It didn't.
Because the problem was never strategy. It was the nervous system running the whole operation in the background, unregulated, unaddressed, and completely misunderstood.
In this video I break down exactly what's happening underneath high performance breakdown. The three states most high performers cycle between. The four patterns hiding in plain sight. And the real cost — not the one you can see on paper, but the one you feel at 5am when your mind is already running before your feet have touched the floor.
If something in that lands for you — this one's worth 18 minutes of your time.
