MATCH UPDATE: JOHANNESBURG NORTH TOP 8 TOURNAMENT

Dalmeny Young Chiefs FC vs Bridgetown Rovers FC

We would like to update our Dalmeny Young Chiefs Family and the Blouberg Football Loving Nation on our game played at Kyasand against Bridgetown Rovers FC.

After 90 minutes of a highly competitive game, both teams played to a 0-0 draw. Unfortunately, we lost 11-10 on penalties.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Erudite LOC, the Chairman and his Exco Team, for the excellent organisation and warm welcome. A special thank you also goes to the Johannesburg North Football Loving Nation, who came in big numbers to support and enjoy the beautiful game of football.

A MESSAGE OF ENCOURAGEMENT 🖤💛

To our Chairman, Exco Team, Technical Team, Players and Supporters, another defeat on penalties is painful, but it should never take away our belief, commitment and love for the game. We have faced another setback, but our journey is not over.

Let us remain united, learn from our experiences and continue to work hard. True resilience is not about how many times we fall, but how we rise after every disappointment. OFFICIAL TEAM UPDATE | JOHANNESBURG NORTH TOP 8 TOURNAMENT

The Dalmeny Young Chiefs FC Family is pleased to announce our participation in the upcoming Johannesburg North Top 8 Tournament as shared, scheduled for next weekend at Kyasand.

Following our recent setbacks in Alexandra (Maimane Phiri Games) and Kromhoek ( Blouburg Rural Fiesta Tournament), where we suffered two defeats on penalties, we have taken valuable lessons from these experiences. While the results were disappointing, they have strengthened our determination to regroup, reassess our approach and return with renewed focus, commitment and a winning mentality.

As a family, we remain united and determined to bounce back stronger. Our objective is to apply a different approach, demonstrate resilience and compete for victory as we continue our journey towards restoring our pride.

We therefore extend a heartfelt invitation to the Blouburg Football Loving Nation across Gauteng to come out in big numbers and rally behind our boys. Your presence, encouragement and unwavering support remain a vital part of our journey.

A SAD DAY, BUT WE RISE AGAIN

Today has been a very difficult and emotional day for the entire Dalmeny Young Chiefs FC Family, as we experienced two painfull results at two different venues.

⚽ 2nd Game – Ga-Makgato Kroemhiek
Dalmeny Young Chiefs FC 1–1 Mighty Killers FC
Lost 4–1 on penalties

⚽ 1st Game – Alexandra Three Square | Maimane Phiri Games
Dalmeny Young Chiefs FC 0–0 Skomboys FC
Lost 4–2 on penalties

Losing two games in one day is never easy, especially after the players fought hard and defended the colours of Dalmeny Young Chiefs with commitment and pride. However, today's results must not break us — they must teach us.

To Our Management, Technical Team & Players

Let us take a step back, analyse today's performances honestly, identify where we can improve and use these lessons to prepare better for the challenges ahead.

We must remember the positives: we competed, we fought, we remained in the games and we gave ourselves an opportunity to win. Penalty shootouts can be cruel, but they are part of the game.
