MRAD vs MOA — THE AGE-OLD DEBATE.

When it comes to long-range shooting, your optic system matters… and one of the biggest decisions is MRAD or MOA.

At its core, the difference is mathematical.

MOA (Minute of Angle) is based on degrees.
MRAD (Milliradian) is based on radians.

At distance, both do the same job — but they scale differently:

At 100m:
• 1 MOA ≈ 29mm
• 0.1 MRAD = 10mm

At 1000m:
• 1 MOA ≈ 290mm
• 0.1 MRAD = 100mm

1 MRAD = 0.001 × Distance

1 MOA ≈ 1/60'
