πŸ₯‹πŸ† JB MARKS SPORTING EXCELLENCE ON DISPLAY AT THE MORGANTI JU-JITSU SOUTH AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

The JB Marks Sports Council proudly congratulates all the Potchefstroom athletes who participated in the recent Morganti Ju-Jitsu South African Championships held in Rustenburg.

It is always encouraging to see athletes from our local community stepping onto provincial and national sporting platforms, representing not only their clubs and disciplines, but also the wider JB Marks community.

Every athlete who participates at this level represents many hours of training, preparation, discipline, sacrifice and commitment. Behind every competitor are also dedicated instructors, coaches, parents, families, officials and supporters who contribute to making sporting achievement possible.

πŸ‘ We therefore congratulate all our Potchefstroom athletes who participated and represented our community with pride, discipline and good sportsmanship.

Events of this magnitude also require significant planning and cooperation behind the scenes.

The JB Marks Sports Council would like to recognise and thank Mr Bene von Benecke, President of Morganti Ju-Jitsu South Africa, together with the organising committee, instructors, referees, technical officials, volunteers and everyone who contributed towards presenting a successful South African Championship.

Their commitment provides athletes with meaningful opportunities to compete, develop their skills, measure their progress and build valuable experience within organised sport.

🀝 SENIOR SPORT LEADERSHIP IN ATTENDANCE

The championship was also honoured by the presence of senior representatives from the broader sporting and martial arts structures, including:

β–ͺ️ Mr Thebe Sekoto – President of the North West Sports Confederation

β–ͺ️ Master Louise Viviers – President of Martial Arts South Africa (MASA)

β–ͺ️ Mr Deon De Jong – Representative of the MASA North West President

β–ͺ️ Ms Theresa Stapelberg – Representative of the MASA North West Vice President

β–ͺ️ Mr Bene von Benecke – President of Morganti Ju-Jitsu South Africa

The presence of leadership from club, federation, provincial and sports-confederation level is important.

It demonstrates that athlete development cannot happen in isolation. Strong sport is built when clubs, coaches, federations, municipalities, provincial structures and sports councils work together towards creating sustainable opportunities for participation and progression.

🌍 SPORT IS ABOUT MORE THAN MEDALS

While medals and podium results are important achievements, the true value of sport extends much further.

Sport contributes towards:

βœ… Youth development
βœ… Discipline and personal growth
βœ… Healthy lifestyles
βœ… Community participation
βœ… Leadership development
βœ… Social cohesion
βœ… Talent identification and development
βœ… Opportunities for athletes to progress from grassroots to provincial, national and international levels

Martial arts in particular continues to play an important role in developing confidence, respect, perseverance, self-discipline and responsibility amongst participants of all ages.

The JB Marks Sports Council believes that recognising our local athletes and sporting organisations is an important part of building a stronger sporting culture within our municipality.

We want our athletes to know that when they travel beyond Potchefstroom to compete, achieve and represent their disciplines, their community notices and celebrates those achievements.

πŸ† To every Potchefstroom athlete who participated – congratulations.

πŸ₯‹ To the coaches and instructors who continue developing our athletes – thank you.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ To the parents and families supporting them – your contribution matters.

βš–οΈ To the referees, officials and volunteers – thank you for giving your time and expertise.

πŸ‘ And to Mr Bene von Benecke and the Morganti Ju-Jitsu team – congratulations on successfully hosting another important national sporting event.

The JB Marks Sports Council looks forward to continuing to work with sporting codes, clubs and organisations throughout our municipality to strengthen participation, development and opportunities for our athletes.

Together we continue building sport from grassroots level upwards.

πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ PROUDLY JB MARKS.
