SANESA Mounted Archery Nationals 2026 was held at Botha Wil Stables on Thursday 1st October, and it was the end of an era for two of our Phoenix riders, who bid SANESA farewell after many years of fun competition at school leagues level.

Malaika Skosan, riding her faithful Max, went out in style with the following results:

🥇1st - Tower HS Level 1
🥇1st - Mini Tabla HS Level 1
🥈2nd - Raid HS Level 1

Talitha Schoeman, riding Balaika, bowed out with impressive wins in both her classes:

🥇1st - Tower HS Level 7
🥇1st - Raid HS Level 7

And in true SANESA tradition, they ended their chapter with the obligatory showpiece - shooting with a tiny bow, cheered on by supporters and parents.

It was a bittersweet moment for many of us who have watched them over the years grow both as mounted archers and as young ladies.

We wish them all the best for their upcoming final exams, and look forward to seeing them achieve their dreams in the adult world that beckons!

Well done Talitha and Malaika - we hope to see you back on track next year as seniors!

Good luck! We'll be watching with pride!
