Meet the Hoërskool Waterkloof FTC Robotics Team 33568, "Fifth Order." This passionate team of Grade 12 students has been accepted to represent South Africa at an International Robotics Competition in the USA this April!

Their journey hasn't been easy. After minimal preparation time and overcoming the challenges of limited competition access during the pandemic, they fought their way to the international stage. Their dedication is undeniable.

However, despite their immense hard work, the team now faces a funding shortfall. The school does not have the budget available to support their travel and competition costs.

This isn't just a trip; it's an investment in future South African leaders in technology, engineering, and innovation. Supporting this team will help them build invaluable skills and profiles for their future university acceptance and careers.

We are calling on our community and corporate sponsors to help us bridge this funding gap.

Our goal is R440,000. This funding will cover:

🚀 Help a South African Robotics Team Reach the USA!

A group of passionate Grade 12 robotics students from Hoërskool Waterkloof (Pretoria) has the opportunity to represent South Africa at the FIRST Tech Challenge International Robotics Competition in the USA on 17–18 April 2026. 🤖🌍

These learners have been developing their engineering, programming, and robotics skills since Grade 8, but due to COVID disruptions they only had the opportunity to compete in the 2025–2026 season.

Now they have a chance to compete internationally — but they need sponsors to help make this dream possible.

The school unfortunately does not have the budget available this year, and with the competition approaching quickly, we are reaching out to companies and individuals who believe in investing in young innovators and future engineers.

Supporting this team will help them:
✔ Represent South Africa internationally
✔ Build strong profiles for university and engineering careers
✔ Continue developing innovation and STEM skills
