11-Year-Old Girl Dies, Three Injured in Aweng Celebration Accident

An 11-year-old girl and three other people were injured after a vehicle reportedly lost control and drove into a crowd during celebrations at Aweng Roundabout on Wednesday afternoon.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle was traveling from Aweng toward Ajak when it allegedly lost control due to overspeeding and crashed into people gathered along the roadside.

The young girl died at the scene, while the injured victims were taken to Mother Teresa Hospital for treatment.

Witnesses said the suspected driver was apprehended, although authorities have not yet officially confirmed the arrest.

Subject: Objection to Duplicate Team Name and Jersey Colors

Dear Committee Members,

I write on behalf of Wunrok FT, registered in the Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament as “Pride of Twic”.

We wish to raise concern regarding Akoc FT, who has recently joined the tournament using the same red and white jersey colors as Wunrok FT, and with a name that closely resembles ours

According to standard football practice and FIFA Laws of the Game, Law 4, two teams in the same competition should not carry identical names or identical playing colors. This causes confusion for referees, players, and spectators. Wunrok FT has been established and registered with these colors and identities prior to Akoc FT’s entry this year.

We respectfully request the Committee to:
1. Direct Akoc FT to adopt a different team name or add a distinguishing element to avoid duplication.
2. Require Akoc FT to use alternate jersey colors for the tournament to avoid kit clashes.

We believe this will ensure fairness, clarity, and smooth organization of the tournament.

We trust the committee will address this matter in line with fair competition rules. We are ready to cooperate with any verification you require.
