Broos hopes to finish his coaching career on a high by guiding South Africa to the FIFA World Cup next year. "For us, we have to win the game today. I see a motivated group and the boys know that it should be a highlight in their career to go to the World Cup next year, so I know they will fight for it from the first minute," he added.

A win against Lesotho and Nigeria would go a long way in securing qualification for the World Cup. "We all know that the next two games, with a bit of luck, can maybe be the final step to qualification to the World Cup, so we are motivated to play today's game," Broos said.

Bafana Bafana will face Lesotho in a Group C World Cup qualifier in Bloemfontein. "It's obviously a must-win match for us," Broos emphasized, as the team looks to make a mark in the World Cup qualifiers.
