indeed!! We remember this image well - Jayden van Heerden getting ready to tear up the track!!

Today’s image remains one of our all-time favorites featuring Jumping Kids charity ambassador and role model; T64 athlete, Jayden van Heerden.

Captured in 2023 at the Toyota SASAPD National Championships; the image catches the transition from walking prosthesis to sports prosthesis as Jayden prepares to warm up for his track races that year.

Did you know that Jayden has formed part of our since our launch in 2009?

Did you also know that Jayden has consistently bettered his own national records in his T64 (track athlete competing with a single, below knee prosthetic) division year on year since starting to represent Gauteng at this important annual event?

He is a wonderful example of the value of hard work and perseverance while chasing your goals.

It's been announced 📢

Tashkent is officially the host for the 2027 World Para Athletics Championships! For the first time, the world’s largest single Para sport event heads to Uzbekistan and Central Asia! 🌍

Expect more than 1,300 athletes from over 100 nations to compete at the Olympic City Main Stadium. Uzbekistan is a rising powerhouse, fresh off a Top 15 finish at New Delhi 2025. We can’t wait to see the world’s best athletes shine in Tashkent! 🏟️

- 3 goue medaljes en 3 nuwe SA rekords vir die 800m, 1500m en 5000m op die atletiekbaan in die T38-kategorie
- 5 silwer medaljes in die swembad in die S8-kategorie

During the Toyota SASAPD National Championships in Stellenbosch, Enzo performed brilliantly:
- 3 gold medals and 3 new SA records for the 800m, 1500m, and 5000m on the athletics track in the T38 category
- 5 silver medals in the swimming pool in the S8 category

A Mother, Daughter and their inspirational Two Oceans journey Vaylen Kirtley and her daughter's impactful and inspiring Totalsports Two Oceans Half Marathon journey in support of Jumping Kids.

A small but POWERFUL team!!

Seven athletes = SEVENTEEN MEDALS (10 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze) and EIGHT new SA records (still to be ratified) from our IsAbility Sports Club Gauteng team at the 2026 Toyota SA SASAPD National Championships🤩

We are blown away by the results!!
