REST IN PEACE: 8-Year-Old Girl and Her Mother Killed in Fire By Ex-Boyfriend💔🕊️

Nompumelelo Masilela (37) and her daughter Snethemba Masilela (8) died after a fire in their backyard shack/room.

The family alleges that Nompumelelo’s ex-boyfriend (described as jealous and violent, with a history of abuse) locked the security gate and door of the dwelling before setting the fire.

Relatives and neighbours tried to break in to rescue them but could only recover their badly burnt bodies. One uncle, Job Mahlangu, described forcing open the gate and seeing fire still burning near where their heads were.

The ex-boyfriend reportedly fled the scene but was later caught by community members. Police arrested him and he appeared in the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court on two counts of murder. Gauteng police confirmed the investigation.

According to alleged reports, shortly afterward, he was reportedly released due to a missing case docket, sparking major outrage in Winterveld. Police asked the community for patience until the end (late April) to re-arrest him.

REST IN PEACE: Two Young Girls Tortured, Killed and Dumped Like Trash💔🕊️

The bodies of two young girls — Ibanathi Peter (17) and Sinothando Malinga (19) were found by community members in a veld (bushy area) in KwaNobuhle, Kariega (Eastern Cape). Their bodies had been burnt, with one reportedly burnt beyond recognition.

The girls had been studying for their Grade 11 exams and were at a friend’s house when four men allegedly forced their way in. According to reports and witness statements, the men gang-r**ed the two girls, then killed them, set their bodies on fire, and dumped them in the veld.

The four suspects — Akhululwe Pungulwa (28), Anele Ngalo (27), Siphosethu Gomomo (21), and Zubenathi Dyakumeni (26) were arrested the very next day.

They have been charged with r**e and murder. They all abandoned their bail applications and remained in custody. The case was later moved to the High Court.

The case is now at the Gqeberha High Court. We continue to demand full justice for these two beautiful souls. In March 2026 (about 7–9 months after the murders). It appeared in the High Court in April 2026 for pre-trial proceedings 💔

This brutal double murder shocked the community and added to the ongoing anger over gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide in South Africa.

Rest in Power, Ibanathi and Sinothando. You will not be forgotten. Justice must prevail. 🙏

REST IN PEACE: Boyfriend on the Run After Brutally Stabbing Girlfriend to Death💔🕊️

A young woman was allegedly murdered on Thursday, 9 July 2026. Her body was found the next day (Friday, 10 July) in a rented room in Soshanguve Block F East (north of Pretoria, Gauteng), in a pool of blood.

The family says the room was rented by the suspect, Germany Sedupelele. He is accused of killing her and then fleeing. The family is desperately appealing to the public for help to find him, sharing his photo widely.

Another young woman taken by GBV. We stand with the family demanding justice. Police must act swiftly. 🙏

REST IN PEACE: Innocent Grade 4 Learner Found R*ped and Killed Near Her Home💔🕊️

Michelle Ambraal, aged 12, a Grade 4 learner with learning disabilities, lived in Extension 31, Bethelsdorp (Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape.

She was last seen at a friend’s home nearby. Two days after, her lifeless body was found in a bushy area less than 200 metres from her house (Foxgrove Street area).

According to reports, she had visible injuries, a broken leg, and pantyhose around her neck. It is alleged she was r**ed before being murdered.

The community was deeply shocked. Residents set parts of the bushes on fire in protest and held marches demanding justice. This was part of a spate of child murders in the Nelson Mandela Bay area at the time.

No arrests have been made publicly. Police opened a murder investigation and described it as a priority case.

Multiple leads were followed in the weeks after the murder, including a hidden shelter found near the scene, but there have been no confirmed breakthroughs or suspects named publicly in available reports.

The family and community continue to seek justice, with ongoing calls for action on child safety and GBV.
