A 450kW Alfa Romeo Giulia QV vs. the Mountain. 🏎️

The annual Simola Hillclimb represents the ultimate, purest form of motorsport: just the driver, the tarmac, and the clock. For rookie hillclimber Tony Casey, the pressure was amplified tenfold. Not only was he returning to competitive motorsport after a long hiatus, but his weapon of choice was his mom’s daily driver.

From simulator predictions of an “easy 50-second run” to the raw adrenaline of Saturday practice where he clocked an impressive 58-second bracket, Tony discovered exactly what happens when high horsepower meets public road physics.

Team Efficiency Motorsport/aBr had a terrific debut experience at the Simola Hillclimb.

Truly a world-class event, and the world’s fastest hillclimb, Simola delivered everything and more.

On a hot final day, several competitors suffered mechanical failures, dropping oil on the circuit. This made some of Simola’s technical racing lines, even more challenging.

The Team Efficiency Motorsport/aBr Giulia Quadrifoglio, driven by Tony Casey, ran a final time of 1:00.297.
