Lapidary started off as a hobby, but soon developed into a much needed complimentary skill for the jewellery I love making.
Having found the need to adjust and correct the commercially cut gems available to the industry, I now have the freedom and satisfaction to cut my own gems. It allows me to design, manufacture and set without limitations for the desired outcome.

This baby came home after many years of happy wearing for a small repair and some loving care.

Every now and then I get the opportunity to custom cut and polish a special gemstone for a piece of jewellery.
This Aquamarine allowed me to facet it to the maximum internal reflection according to its refractive index.

The shape of one's hand as well as weight distribution on rings cause it to constantly turn and move out of position.
Like most of my designs this ring is made for the left hand ringfinger and although it might fit on the right hand, its ergonomic design allows for a very comfortable fit only on the left hand. Most importantly, it remains in the correct position.

This piece was made for a long standing customer. The chain, interchangeable pendant with Sodalite gems are handmade and custom cut. Looking like a general curb-link chain, it is everything but ordinary. In reality, the chain articulates in an ergonomic fashion, having been made to the shape of the body without loosing its shape, yet still remains flexible. Comfortable beyond imagination, it remains in the corrext position. A joy to wear.
