Do you know what’s in your food?
Understanding nutritional food labels can help you make healthier food choices.
The labels break down the amount of carbs, fat, fibre, proteins that can be found on the item per serving size.
One tip, look for different brands of the same item and compare.
For example, one brand of tomatoes sauce may have more carbs and sugar compared to another one. You would obviously want to take the one with less.

Stress comes in many forms, and can have negative effects on the body, physically , mentally and emotionally. To achieve good health, and overall wellness, you should include physical activity, practise meditation, mindfulness or other relaxation techniques .
ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE A RESTFUL STATE OF RELAXATION
Yoga or Pilates
Pilates can bring relief from stress and get you into a state of calmness. Due to the breathing exercises done in yoga and Pilates, you get improved blood circulation and this prompts relaxation. You can focus your practice on mindfulness, or Zen. These gentle forms of exercise will connect and unite your body, mind, and spirit.
Meditation
In simple, meditation is to be in a relaxed state of being. This is one of the most simple and fast ways to reduce stress. This is because, with meditation, you can do it anywhere, on the bus, waiting at a doctor, or whilst you are walking. There is guided meditation, mantra, and mindfulness meditation you can try and see which fits and works for you.

5 simple ways to stay hydrated this cold season.
Did you know our thirst diminishes due to cold temperatures? Which is the reason why we might forget to hydrate and drink our fluids. But there is only one way to hydrate. There is plenty options to keep hydrated, that doesn’t just involve water.
So what’s the challenge for today?
1. Set a water 💦 drinking goal 🥅 . Make sure to make this goal easy to achieve by carrying by a water bottle, everywhere you go.
2. Warm it up. You don’t have to drink cold fluids. You can drink warm fluids, and infused them. You can make nice warm homemade smoothies, hot chocolate, and green tea. Try to also limit your alcohol intake as it will dehydrate you more.
3. You can also hydrate by eating hydrating foods, such as oranges, strawberries, yogurt , cantaloupes , celery and oatmeals. You can also eat homemade soups with vegetables which can keep you warm and hydrated. Avoid processed foods as they cause dehydration.
