We're halfway through the 2022/23 so it's time to spam you all with some photos of the past couple of months.

We are so incredibly proud of our Joes and Joeys. To be a part of this club is to be a part of something indescribably special ❤️

On Wednesday 19 October 2022 we hosted our second Annual Jeppe CC Golf Day at Benoni Country Club. Once again it was an absolutely fantastic day out and we hope that everyone involved had a thoroughly awesome day!

A massive thank you to our organizers and to Benoni Country Club for the well-run day. We are very grateful for the support and a big thank you goes out to all that donated prizes.

We can't wait to see you all again next year with some new faces too! 😉😉

We had a fantastic time at our first Bowls Day on Saturday! Awesome day out where the whole family can be involved!

Two months of winter cricket is a first for Jeppe CC but this tournament saw lots of hurdles, many laughs, countless milestones, tons of MVP awards and a couple of trophies 💪🏾

The Jeppe Community lost an amazing person this week. Today we paid tribute to you Miss G.

Earlier in the week Jeppe High School for Girls wrote:

"It is with a deep sense of grief and loss that we announce that our highly esteemed and beloved Headmistress since 2011, Ms Dina Gonçalves passed away today, 9th June 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Miss G epitomised the Jeppe motto ‘Nothing is too difficult for the brave’ with every fibre of her being. Since news of her grievous illness became public it is clear from hundreds of tributes that have been pouring in that she touched and inspired the lives of many learners, staff and parents in a profound way and she will be greatly missed by her Jeppe family and the broader education community. She has been a brilliant Mathematics educator at the school since 1990.The school feels empty without her vibrant presence and leadership. In the words of the favoured Irish blessing so often sung by our choir - ‘until we meet again may God hold you - and us - in the palm of his hands. "

You will be deeply missed Miss G. Our girls are honoured to have been led by you.

There is so much going on in the world and wow, it's been a rollercoaster 2 years since Lockdown was announced 🌍. Our doorstep is occupied with so many woes, so many things that can be changed with wise words, good and pure intentions. The Joes have decided to make a change. It might be the end of the season but these causes are all important and it's time for us to take a stand.

We have launched badges that we hope to see on the arms of all our players and in the future, on all the arms of players from other clubs.

Our badges have 3 strips on them:
🖤 Stand against rasism
💜 Fight against Gender based violence
💗 Support against those fighting breast cancer

These are all important and ever present topics and problems we face daily in South Africa, others more than most.

Let's do what we can to take a lasting stand and fight against Racism, Gender Based Violence and support those fighting Breast Cancer.

We challenge all clubs to get involved with this initiative, we have a massive amount of badges for you all!

Do you know how humbling it is to arrive at a junior grassroots game and see 11 kids share and dominate against kids who have access to all the resources?

Our Joeys donated all their pre-loved cricket kit to Alex, Orange Farm and Soweto Cricket Club this past Saturday from our Christmas Kit Drive.

The Joes want to give every opportunity to all to grow and thrive in our much loved sport

We are so honored and excited to announce the launch day of something that has become very important to us. Lauren, our club administrator, connected with Jack, one of the founders of Corinthians NPO, during Level 5 lockdown. Our goal - to bring cricket to the community of La Rochelle. If you listen to the story of Corinthians it will give you goosebumps; to hear of how this amazing organization started in a random park to how it's grown into a foundation that has a thriving soccer league, after-school reading programs and open discussions on GBV with room for much more. Corinthians is a community based outreach program with the amazing aim to bring the community together through sport. If kids have a safe place to go after school to get assistance with their homework plus are able to play and learn through sport surely we can help with this through any way we can?

We have the backing of Lions Cricket and together we want cricket to be a reality in this area. Do you know that the schools in the immediate surrounds are not able to provide cricket as a sport? We are extremely blessed to have the opportunities we do with our sport, let's help kids have the same opportunities! Let's spread the cricket love!
