I am incredibly excited about the prospect of Formula 1 coming to Africa. 🌍🏁 F1

But I have one question…

WHAT IS THE PLAN FOR OUR DRIVERS?

Who is developing our youth? Who is building the grassroots? Who is creating the pathway from a young child in a kart to an African driver on the Formula 1 grid?

Because bringing F1 to Africa is amazing. But we cannot wait for the opportunity to arrive before we start preparing our talent.

That’s exactly why we are building Karting Africa.

This is for those who dare to achieve the impossible.

This is for those who have faith when the world has doubt.

This is for those who believe when nobody else does.

This is for those who believe in Africa. 🌍

🌍🔥 THE WORLD IS HIS PLAYGROUND. AFRICA IS HIS ROOTS. 🇿🇦🇬🇧

Meet Kian Burnard — a rising force in international Rotax karting, flying the flag on the world stage! 🏁

🏆 BNL Championship Winner
🥈 2nd in the British Rotax Championship

Competing against some of the best karting talent in the world, Kian is proving that the next generation of motorsport stars is truly international.

With South African heritage, Kian is excited to see the Karting Africa Series take shape ahead of its 2027 launch — opening new doors for African drivers to compete, develop and showcase their talent on a bigger stage.

🗣️ Kian’s message to Africa:

“Being half South African, it’s really exciting to see the Africa Karting Series growing and creating new opportunities for young drivers.

Karting has given me some incredible experiences racing across the UK and Europe, and I think it’s great to see African drivers getting more opportunities to showcase their talent and compete at a high level.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how the series develops in 2027 and hopefully seeing more African talent making their mark on the international karting scene!”

I’m definitely hoping to be on the grid in 2027 🌍🥶🥶🥶!!!
