BOLAND COLLEGES REPRESENTATIVE! ⭐️⚽️

Huge congratulations to our very own EDWINA FYNN who has been selected to represent Boland TVET College at the Provincial CoSACSA Ball Games taking place on the 28th & 29th of August 2026 in Mosselbay!

Edwina will represent Boland College in Football and will compete against the other TVET Colleges ( West Coast, Northlink, False Bay, South Cape etc ) in the Western Cape .

From shining for Sporting Stars FC Ladies in the WRL to representing Boland Colleges - your hard work, discipline and talent continues to pay off!

Chante scored 3 goals in 2 matches for our Ladies team during the opening round of the SAFA Cape Winelands WRL played in Bonnievale.

After a disappointing loss in the Winter League 2 weeks ago, the boys were eager to make things right - and they delivered!

Here is an update on our club's standings and top goal scorers across multiple leagues: Ladies WRL, Super league BVLFA, Winter league. The Superleague team is fourth with one game left to play. Carlrich is our Super League teams top goal scorer with 17 goals .The ladies' team is currently third after two matches. Taya has scored three goals in two matches. The Winter league boys are fourth after two matches. Both Samier and Rowan have scored two goals.

⚫🟡 Weekend Double-Header ⚽🔥

Our Super League team was in action this past weekend with a challenging double-header.

On Saturday, we faced Touwsrivier United, going down 3–1 in a hard-fought encounter. We've missed several chances unfortunately it wasn't meant to be .Our goal was scored by Monrae Maart.

On Sunday, the team bounced back with a fantastic 3–2 victory over Phoenix! ⚽💪 The goals came from Jehaime Jonkers, Brendon Hendricks and Monrae Maart.

⚫🟡Matchday Update ⚽️

Sporting Stars FC and the other SAFA Cape Winelands Women’s Regional League teams travelled to Bonnievale for the opening round of the WRL 2026.

Each team played two matches, with our opponents being Nietvoorbij (Stellenbosch LFA) and Blackpool (Breede Valley LFA).

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we travelled with just 9 players. Among them were two debutants: 12-year-old Aldine van der Merwe and 15-year-old Zoë Hendricks. What a way to make your first appearance! 👏⚽️

Despite the challenging circumstances, our ladies showed incredible character and determination:

The draw against Blackpool was a hard-fought Breede Valley LFA derby, and our ladies can be proud of the effort they put in throughout both matches.

It was the team’s first competitive football match since the Cup of Love Women’s Tournament in February, and the ladies did exceptionally well considering the circumstances.
