WEEK ONE: SHARP RAZOR START WITH A WIN! βš‘οΈπŸ‘ŒπŸ’™πŸ€β€οΈβš”οΈ

Konkola Blades FC opened their 2026 MTN Transitional League campaign in winning fashion, securing maximum points with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Power Dynamos at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe.

The Sharp Razor boys got off to a flying start, taking the lead just 55 seconds into the match. A good attacking move saw Kelly Kayembe provide the assist for Clive Biyeta, who calmly finished with a soft, well-placed strike to put Blades 1-0 up.

Konkola Blades held onto their advantage through the remainder of the first half and went into the break with the lead.

Power Dynamos fought back in the second half and were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute, which they converted two minutes later to level the contest at 1-1.

With the game seemingly heading towards a share of the spoils, the Sharp Razor boys raised the pressure and went in search of a winner.

Their persistence paid off in the 85th minute when Biston Banda delivered a beautifully calculated corner kick into the danger area. The resulting pressure forced an own goal, sending the home crowd into celebration and restoring Konkola Blades' lead.

2-1 it finished in favour of Konkola Blades FC, as the Sharp Razor began the campaign with a valuable three points in front of the home supporters.
