I want to let everyone know that this coming Sunday is my last day at Chiwempala Stars . I was asked yesterday what I would change, and I could not think of one thing. Every single year, we enjoyed the chase together.
I want to thank a few groups of people, so please stay with me.First of all, I want to thank Chiwempala stars football club for the most awesome time of my life. These all years were so great.Chiwempala stars football club treated me very well, and to this very day, has been nothing but first class. From the Team Manager, Team secretary and the executive,I could not be more thankful.
Secondly, I want to thank my colleagues in the athletic office. We had fun everyday, and
worked together to make our experience the best. Special thanks to my great friends coach Kaunda kapambwe and coach Moses(Ayew) .
They have been such a great mentor for me over the last all years. And to all the other coaches that made my life fun I want to thank you lot .
Thirdly, to my former players. Man, we had fun. We won a lot of games together and won some
big games together. And most of all, we will forever have each other and look back with fond
memories and love for the process of chasing championships. The stories will endure forever
and the friendships will be what made it great. I love you guys, like no other.
Fourthly, to my present players. This is the toughest part. I love these guys. I can't ask for a
better group of guys than what we have right now. They play everyday, they workout hard, they come to practice with a great attitude, and the love they have for each other is second to none. I will always regret this part the most, and feel like I have abandoned them.
Lastly, I have so much enjoyed my time with my assistants over the years. Coach Moses zondani,coach kaunda kapambwe are all such close friends, and forever will be. Thank you guys for everything. We had a great time and a lot of laughs.
In the end, it is time for me to call it a Chiwempala stars career. I am moving to my next challenge. Here is the crux of the matter for me. I don't want to
live my last years as a coach and just walk off into the sunset, get lethargic and just hang on.
I've watched too many coaches in my lifetime do that. I want a challenge that rejuvenates me
that makes me stretch and be the best I can be. It's time for a new voice in the Chiwempala stars football club program,and it is time for me to improve and get fired up for a new venture. I have given my all to this
Club , and have no regrets, but for this once, I am going to make a selfish move
and take a risk of trying to chase championships at a new place.
