ARMY WORMS HIT NATIONAL HEROES STADIUM TURF

The playing turf at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka has been attacked by army worms, slowing down rehabilitation works at the facility.

Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu, says specialists from South Africa have been brought in to assess the damage and help find a solution.

Meanwhile, Sporturf Project Manager Maurice Van Nierneck says the turf has been fumigated and the grass is expected to recover soon.
