To wrap up our 10-day pre-season training, we played a 40-minute segmented friendly match against Kabwe Warriors FC in Kabwe today.

Power Dynamos won the first segment of the match, while Kabwe Warriors emerged victorious in the second. The final segment ended in a stalemate, leaving the overall score tied.

Reagan Mtonga scored for Power Dynamos, while Joseph Kasongo scored for Kabwe Warriors.

As part of our pre-season training, we conducted a session on financial literacy, titled: ‘The Psychology of Money’.

Our Club Treasurer, Chimbalanga Semba, stressed the value of investing in things that would turn out to be assets than liabilities and the importance of starting to save early in one's career.

We also collaborated with the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) to discuss the negative effects of drug abuse and anti-doping measures in Zambia.

The DEC officials also emphasised the risks associated with drug abuse, among them, cardiac arrest and the constriction of blood vessels, which can impede blood flow and the oxygen that the sports men require.

To wrap up our pre-season training, we will play a friendly match against Kabwe Warriors in Kabwe today.

Starting 11 for the first match against Atletico Lusaka FC.

𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐀𝐏𝐀'𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓: 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐘𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄

Power Dynamos have set up camp in Lusaka for their pre-season, following an impressive display in two friendly matches against NAPSA Stars last weekend in Kitwe. This occasion also marked the launch of their 2024-2025 season, unveiling the new kit and introducing some notable new players. Based on these developments, Power Dynamos emerges as one of the clear favorites for the Zambia Super League title this season, promising to make the league an exciting show.

𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞

Lawrence Mulenga is expected to retain his position as the primary goalkeeper, bringing reliability and experience between the posts. The defensive line, comprising Kondwani Chiboni, John Soko, Aaron Katebe, Dominic Chanda, and Faustin Bokadila, looks solid and well-organized. This defensive unit is anticipated to be a key pillar in the team's quest for success, offering stability and resilience at the back.

𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐲𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬

The midfield will see significant changes, notably operating without Joshua Mutale for the first time in years. However, the competition remains fierce with Salulani Phiri, Owen Tembo, Linos Makwaza Jr. and Frederick Mulambia expected to play pivotal roles. New entrants like Chifundo Mpasi from Kabwe Warriors are expected to bring fresh talent and energy, aiming to bolster the midfield's effectiveness and creativity.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The absence of Andy Boyeli, who had a stellar 2022-2023 season but a less impactful 2023-2024 season, raises questions about the striking department. Moses Phiri remains a crucial figure, known for his timely goals, including a memorable last-minute equalizer against ZESCO United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. A key focus will be on Beby Musangala Onka, who, despite a transfer saga from Trident, has yet to fully realize his potential at Power Dynamos. This season is critical for him

Aaron Katebe has been appointed our new team captain.

Katebe will be deputized by Salulani Phiri as our vice captain. Prince Mumba and Lawrence Mulenga are our second vice and third vice captains, respectively.
