Livingstone Pirates Football Club continued its pre-season preparations today with Christopher Matale and Humphrey Tembo reporting back to the squad as the team officially shifted its morning training sessions to Police Grounds, beginning daily at 08:00hrs.

The Thunder Boys resumed this weeks training yesterday in high spirits, with a blend of experienced senior players and exciting new faces reporting for duty as the club embarks on the next chapter of its journey toward the 2026 Transition League campaign.

Pre-season represents a crucial stage in the club's preparations, providing the technical bench with an opportunity to assess the squad, improve fitness levels, strengthen team chemistry, and build the unity required to compete at the highest level throughout the season.

Head Coach Joseph Mwale expressed his satisfaction with the players' commitment, discipline, and positive attitude during the opening training sessions. He emphasized that hard work, togetherness, and consistency will be the foundation upon which the team's ambitions will be built.

With more players expected to join the squad in the coming days, the atmosphere around the training ground continues to reflect optimism, healthy competition, and a shared desire to raise the standards ahead of the new season.

Livingstone Pirates Football Club remains fully focused on its objectives, and ambitions and also is determined to make a strong start when the 2026 Transition League gets underway this September.

Last Sunday 5th July l, 2016 was far more than a football event, it was a celebration of history, cherished memories, and the remarkable men who helped shape the proud legacy of Livingstone Pirates Football Club.

The Clash of Legends brought together generations of football heroes who returned to the pitch not simply to relive cherished memories, but to remind us why they earned legendary status. It was an opportunity to honour the individuals whose passion, sacrifice, commitment, and excellence laid the foundation for the club's rich history and inspired generations of players and supporters connected to the club

Livingstone Pirates Football Club extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers of the Clash of Legends for creating a platform that reunited football icons, supporters, and the wider football community. The event celebrated decades of unforgettable moments and reminded us of the enduring impact these legends continue to have on the game.

More importantly, it highlighted that football is more than competition. It is a powerful force that unites communities, inspires hope, preserves history, and creates a lasting impact beyond the ninety minutes.

On the pitch, the Thunder Boys Legends produced a memorable performance, defeating Maramba Stars Legends 3–1 with William Ba Wile Siamulonga, Dean Chimena, and Giggs Ndamana all finding the back of the net in a match filled with passion, quality, and flashes of brilliance that reminded everyone why these men remain true legends of the game.

The occasion was about more than the final score. It demonstrated the enduring power of football to unite communities, inspire future generations, and create lasting impact beyond the ninety minutes.

To every Livingstone Pirates legend who proudly wore the famous black and white once again, thank you. Your dedication, achievements, and unwavering love for this club have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire present and future generations of Thunder Boys.

The wait is over! July marks the return of the Thunder Boys as the squad reports back for pre-season training ahead of the 2026 Faz Division One South Transition League, which kicks off in September and runs through to early December 2026.

The hard work begins today as the team returns to the training ground together with the new players, ready to prepare for the challenges ahead. Every session will be focused on building strength, improving fitness, developing team unity, and creating the winning mentality needed for the season ahead.

The famous black and white colours will proudly come to life again as the Livingstone Pirates Football Club. Legends take centre stage in the inaugural Clash of Legends, where they will face the Maramba Stars Legends tomorrow Sunday 5th, 2026 in a historic encounter that promises to rekindle cherished memories of football in Livingstone.

More than just a football match, this occasion is a celebration of heritage, brotherhood, and the remarkable men who built the legacy of the Thunder Boys. It is an opportunity to honour the pioneers who proudly wore the Pirates badge, inspired generations of supporters through their passion and commitment, and helped establish Livingstone Pirates as one of the city's most respected football institutions.

Leading the Pirates Legends will legendary Coaches in Coach Richard Kasune and Coach Litrace Chewe and leading the line upfront will be former club president Mr. Aggrey Njekwa, whose visionary leadership and unwavering dedication played a significant role in shaping one of the club's memorable eras. Alongside him is a distinguished collection of former stars whose names remain etched in the hearts of the Pirates faithful.

Supporters will once again witness football icons such as Kalaba Chikwanda (Laba), Isaac Ziwa (Xavi), Harry Hamutinta (Berger), Duane Duane Dux Mwiikisa (Dux), Alex Mtonga (Alega), Billy Billy Shanda Imonda (Shanda), Dean Chimena ( Tate ), Evans Jenga Jenga (Wayesu), Elias Nkhoswe (Rat), Patrick Banda (Boers), Thomas Mutau (Robben), Flowking Sizwe Simulambo (Flowking), Enock Makai (Chomolia), Bruce Musakanya (Pedro), Chris Banda (Balaka), William William Ba Wile Siamulonga (Adebayo), Kelvin Kalwizi (Mwami),Kapambwe Chitambala, Silver Sille Kinkoz Makinko ( Sile ), Given Simunomba Given Akira( Kalijo), Andrew Mulao too Chris Gowoka together with many other Pirates greats, reunite to proudly wear the famous black and white badge once again.

Please note that there will be no open trials. Only players identified and invited by the club's technical team, together with the existing squad members, are required to report for training without fail.
