To our royal followers, the football community, and our critics:
We are issuing this statement to provide clarity regarding Valmat Football Academy’s inability to travel to Kalomo for our scheduled fixture against the Kalomo Jetters this past Sunday.
On Friday, our organization was devastated by a severe Road Traffic Accident (RTA) in Zimba. This tragedy resulted in the heartbreaking loss of several colleagues and left other members of our team hospitalized with serious injuries.
As a subsidiary of Zimasi Resources, who are the sole owners of Valmat Football Academy, our operations are deeply integrated. Currently, the collective management of both the Academy and Zimasi Resources is under immense strain. Our leadership is currently stretched thin, personally overseeing funeral arrangements and providing essential support to hospitalized staff.
To have proceeded with the fixture under these circumstances would have placed an impossible burden on our management. We believe that standing in solidarity with the bereaved and prioritizing the well-being of our people is the only honorable path during this period.
While we had officially notified the Association of this about our reason not to travel on 02/05/26, we wish to re-assure our supporters and the league that our commitment remains firm. We fully intend to fulfill our final home fixture of the season as scheduled.
We ask for your patience, your prayers, and your respect for the privacy during this incredibly trying time.

*There’s a Season for Everything,🙏🏿

In football, just like in life, there’s a time for everything.

A time to fall — when the tackle knocks you down, when the shot hits the post, when the scoreline doesn’t go your way. Falling isn’t failure. It’s the game teaching you balance, grit, and hunger.

And there’s a time to rise. To get up faster than you went down. To dust the grass off your kit and lock eyes with the next challenge. To train harder in silence so your comeback makes the noise. Every great player has scars from the fall, but they’re known for how they rose.

Ecclesiastes said it, the pitch proves it: a time to lose possession and a time to win it back. A time to sit the bench and a time to start. A time for setbacks and a time for comeback.

WE ARE VALMAT 💪🏿🙏🏿

*Official Match Update: Queens of Valmat vs Livia's Cheelo FC*

The scheduled fixture between the Queens of Valmat and Livia's Cheelo FC, set for Wednesday at 10:00hrs at Linda West Ground, did not take place as planned.

The away team, Livia's Cheelo FC, arrived at the venue with only one set of playing kit, which was green. This presented a conflict as the home team, the Queens of Valmat, also use green as their primary home colors. According to competition rules, a clear distinction between team kits is required to proceed with play, and the away team is obligated to provide an alternative strip in the event of a color clash.

Despite efforts to resolve the situation on the ground, no alternative kit could be sourced in time, and the match officials could not allow the game to commence under the circumstances.

The matter has been recorded and will be submitted to the relevant league authorities for a decision in line with the competition regulations. Further communication regarding the outcome, including a possible rescheduling or ruling on the result, will be shared once received from the league.

We thank all supporters who turned up at Linda West Ground for their patience and continued support of the Queens. The team remains focused on the remaining fixtures of the season and will communicate the next steps as soon as official guidance is received.
