The Cornerstone of Elite Ladies FC β€” The Rock of Gibraltar

While players come and go, Matilda Mukunda chose loyalty, growth, and continuous improvement. One of the most silent warriors on the pitch, she lets her hard work speak louder than words.

Day by day, Matilda keeps evolving β€” recently adapting into attacking roles where she has delivered notable assists and scored beautiful goals for the team. Her versatility continues to prove her importance to the club.

At just 18 years old, she is already one of the three team captains and among the club’s longest-serving players. Her strong physique, accurate long balls, tactical intelligence, leadership, fighting spirit, and discipline have been key pillars for the team, especially this season where she has shown remarkable consistency in the Super and National Leagues.

Having received multiple call-ups to the Copper Queens, she is still waiting for her first international cap β€” and we strongly believe her moment is coming soon.

Keep working hard, continue inspiring new and younger players, and keep leading by example.

You are a marvelous leader.
Our Rock of Gibraltar.

ELITE BABIES SHINING IN HARARE, ZIMBABWE

Winfridah Mutale, aka Super Magnet, is having a standout tournament at the ongoing CAF Schools Championship in Harare, Zimbabwe. The shot-stopper has featured in all of Zambia’s group stage matches, delivering top performances, keeping a clean sheet and conceding just two goals so far β€” a true wall between the sticks.

Phidah Muzuwa has been absolutely phenomenal in this tournament, scoring in all three matches β€” she announced herself with a stunning hat-trick in the opening game, followed it up with a decisive lone goal against Morocco, and also found the net against hosts and neighbors Zimbabwe in the Battle of the Zambezi. Pure class, pure goals.

Loveness Daka aka Ebube has been nothing short of outstanding, stepping into an unfamiliar center-back role and owning it like a natural. Featuring in all matches, she has led the backline with authority, shielding Super Magnet and playing a huge role in limiting opponents to just two goals while keeping a clean sheet β€” leadership, composure, and dominance all in one.

Idah Lungu and Jane Chirwa have also been key to Zambia’s dominance. Jane, aka The Engine Machine, has powered through all the matches with relentless energy, while Idah has made her mark in two games. Both left-footed gems are incredibly versatile β€” capable of playing as forwards, left-backs, central midfielders, or even center-backs. Idah brings strength and deadly long-ball distribution, while Jane combines tough tackling, aerial strength, and precise long passes β€” complete players in every sense.

Peggy Banda, the electric winger, has lit up the flanks in every group stage game. With her blistering pace and silky skills, she’s been a constant threat and is more than ready to take on Ghana in the semi-finals.

Zambia U15 Girls have been flawless β€” winning all three group matches, topping Group A, and marching confidently into the semi-finals.

Now it’s time for the big one against defending champions Ghana… and with this squad firing on all cylinders, Zambia is READY

LET’S GO ZAMBIA!!! πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡²
