COLLINS MBESUMA STILL PSL’S SINGLE-SEASON KING

Collins Mbesuma’s name remains permanently written in PSL history. The legendary Zambian striker sits among the top goal scorers the league has ever seen with 103 goals — an incredible achievement in one of Africa’s toughest leagues.

What makes “Ntofontofo” even more special is that his record of 25 goals in a single PSL season still stands unbeaten today. Nearly two decades later, no striker has managed to surpass it.

Mbesuma was more than just a goal scorer — he was power, movement, confidence and pure finishing instinct. From Kaizer Chiefs to Mamelodi Sundowns and across the PSL, defenders feared him at his peak.

To rank seventh on the all-time PSL scoring chart among African greats is not just personal success — it is a proud moment for Zambian football. Collins Mbesuma remains one of Zambia’s greatest exports to African football.
