A polo handicap is your passport to the world and the Zambian ladies have just added another stamp from India in theirs. The women kick off their tour with pony trials and meeting the players and owners who kindly lend their prized possessions to the Zambians for the weekend. Thank you to everyone involved in making this tour happen. Good Luck ladies. We will keep everyone updated as the week progresses.

🏆 Zambia Wins the Tri-Nations Schools’ Tournament
What a fantastic weekend of youth polo at Lubombo as Zambia, South Africa, and New Zealand battled it out in the Zambia Polo Association Tri-Nations Schools Tournament, proudly sponsored by Zanaco.
🇿🇲 Zambia came out on top, showing great skill and spirit on the field!
Final Results:

🥉 3rd – New Zealand
4th – Zambia B

Zambian Polo originally started many years ago at the Lusaka Gymkana Club and has developed and grown into four different clubs around Zambia. Lusaka Polo and Hunt Club, Liliay Polo Club, Lubombo Polo Club and The Mazabuka Turf Club. Although still relatively small, the Polo community has grown over the years to having close to 70 players, majority of these being under the age of 18.
Every year the ZPA selects the Zambian Polo Teams that will represent our country in a test match. The ZPA selects three teams to represent the country internationally. A ladies team, a mens and a school ‘boys’ team (under 18’s). In addition to this many other touring teams are selected during the season to give opportunity to other players who are willing to travel as well as a tournament held in the beginning of the year for those who didn't make it into a Zambian team in the previous year. All our international teams who come to Zambia are well looked after and taken on safari tours when possible and mounted on Zambia’s best horse’s at no cost. This is only possible due to our ZPA rules that every playing member is obligated to lend their horse’s to visiting teams. The teams try all of the horse’s and choose the ones they want.
In the past, Zambia have played against England, Australia, South Africa, Chile, New Zealand, India, Zimbabwe, Kenya and these are just to name a few. We are a very friendly polo family who will welcome you with open arms. Anyone looking to start Polo should not feel like it is impossible and only but a dream come true. Polo is for everyone and you only have to go as far as the community to see that.
