Yesterday's friendly match between Metro United FC and Desai Football Club at Chitanda School Ground ended in a 2 – 2 draw.

It was a tough contest with both teams giving it their all till the final whistle. The boys showed great fighting spirit and teamwork throughout the game. 💪⚽

METRO UNITED ADDRESSES INCIDENT AT MATERO YOUTH TOURNAMENT

Last week, our U10 and U13 teams proudly participated in the Matero Youth Tournament. While our U10s emerged champions 🏆 and our U13A fought their way into the finals, the event was unfortunately overshadowed by controversy.

During the U13 final, our opponent and tournament organizers, Matero Youth Soccer Academy (MYSA), unfairly stopped some of our players, who had participated in earlier games, from taking part in the final match. This decision, made moments before kickoff, not only disrupted the spirit of fair play but also left our young players deeply discouraged.

As a club that values discipline, integrity, and fairness, we have since written an official letter to MYSA expressing our concerns and seeking accountability over what transpired. Our priority remains protecting the rights and morale of our young players, ensuring they continue to enjoy the beautiful game without bias or unfair treatment.

We remain committed to nurturing talent and upholding football values that put the players first. 💙⚽

What a memorable weekend for Metro United FC! Our U10 boys were crowned champions 🏆 while our U13s reached the final, showing great talent and fighting spirit. These kids are making us proud every step of the way. 💪

After our victory, we were humbled by the love from our community. Parents came together and bought our players lunch 🍽️ to celebrate their hard work. Community members also showed appreciation for the role we’re playing in keeping children engaged in football and away from bad behavior.
