ZAMBIA TAEKWONDO FEDERATION LEADERSHIP ATTENDS NATIONAL GOVERNANCE FORUM
The Zambia Taekwondo Federation recently participated in the two-day Governance Forum for National Sport Federations at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. Representing the federation were President Likando Nangonde and Vice President Linda Kabaghe.
The forum, held from February 23rd to 24th, 2026, aimed to strengthen governance, accountability, and compliance within Zambia's sports sector. Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Elvis C. Nkandu, emphasized the government's commitment to upholding governance standards, warning that disciplinary action would be taken against individuals and associations operating outside the legal framework.
Minister Nkandu also recognized Alfred Foloko, President of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia, for his outstanding contribution to sport development. The forum provided a valuable platform for Zambia Taekwondo Federation leadership to engage with other federation leaders and share best practices.
The Zambia Taekwondo Federation remains dedicated to promoting good governance, transparency, and professionalism in Taekwondo development in Zambia.
