Some of our LICS Arts Academy students being treated to a piano masterclass presented by Kobus Buys.
Kobus has gained invaluable experience throughout his musical career as pianist, singer, piano lecturer, voice lecturer and vocal coach, opera repetiteur, chorus master, conductor, accompanist, music marketer, music administrator and musicologist.
What a unique and special experience.

Day 3 of the LICS Arts Festival 2024 celebrated the talented artists of LICS and Martin House Trust School where beautifully selected art pieces were entered and adjudicated by the wonderfully talented local artist Natasha Evans .
At LICS we love celebrating the Arts and showcasing the artistic and musical talents of students in and around Lusaka.

We had a special lunch time performance by the American International School of Lusaka - AISL Jazz Band on Wednesday last week, during our LICS Arts Festival.
Our audience had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the upbeat music!

Day 2 of the LICS Arts Festival 2024 celebrated the individual instrumental and vocal talents of students from Baobab College, BIPS, Martin House, AISL, ISL and LICS. The students had the opportunity to perform in front of their peers and parents as well as South African guest adjudicator, Kobus Buys.
It was an absolute joy to hear the young talented artists, and we commend them on their excellent performance skills.
A special congratulations to the overall winners, Kehan Zhan from BIPS for best junior performer and Mio Han D**g from Baobab College for best senior performer.
Tomorrow, we continue celebrating the Arts with a the LICS Arts Festival 2024 Art Exhibition.

This week we have the joy of the LICS Arts Festival 2024. The festival kicked off with the musical notes of the vocal ensemble groups. Thank you to Martin House senior primary, Home of Happiness, Fangyun Lily, LICS Primary and Secondary choirs for taking to the stage to perform for us.
We would also like to thank guest adjudicator Kobus Buys who has flown in from South Africa to give all our performing artists this week professional encouragement and feedback.
We look forward to a further celebration of the Arts tomorrow for the individual Instrumental/Vocal day.
We welcomed a new member of the LICS Arts Academy with much excitement last week!

The 2023-2024 academic year ended on a high note with a combined Arts Exhibition and Recital, held at the LAA on 26 June 2024. It was a wonderful way to reflect on the past year and to celebrate the achievements of our Art and Music students!
Well done to everyone who took part in this lovely event!
