Botswana Football Association President Tariq Babitseng was elected unopposed as the new COSAFA President at the Elective General Assembly held in Harare, Zimbabwe.

He heads a new Executive Committee tasked with driving football administration and regional tournaments for the coming term

The new COSAFA Executive Committee features a mix of newly elected and returning leaders across Southern Africa

Congratulations to Zesco Ndola Girls captain and midfielder Avell Chitundu on winning the 2025/26 ZPL Women Super League Golden Boot Award! 👏🏆

Korkie enjoyed a sensational season, scoring an impressive 26 goals in 30 appearances to finish as the league’s top scorer.

Her outstanding performances played a huge role in helping Zesco Ndola Girls successfully defend their league title and secure back-to-back championships.

Throughout the campaign, the skipper led from the front with crucial goals, braces, and hat-tricks, proving herself to be one of the standout players of the season.

After Penelope Mulubwa won the Golden Boot last season with a historic 35 goals, Avell Chitundu has ensured the award remains in Ndola for another year, making it back-to-back Golden Boot winners for Zesco Ndola Girls through different players. 🔥

A magnificent achievement and a well-deserved first Golden Boot crown for Korkie.

FAZ GIVES UPDATE ON COACH NORA HÄUPTLE, ANNOUNCES FOUR-NATIONS TOURNAMENT

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has clarified the situation surrounding Copper Queens head coach Nora Häuptle following recent public discussions about her future with the national team.

FAZ has confirmed that all outstanding matters between the Association and Coach Häuptle have now been resolved, with Nora set to lead the Copper Queens at the upcoming Four-Nations Tournament.

The tournament will feature Zambia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Burkina Faso as part of preparations for upcoming international competitions.

Coach Häuptle is also expected to guide the Copper Queens at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Congratulations to Green Eagles Women goalkeeper Loveness Tonge on winning the 2025/26 ZPL Women Super League Golden Glove Award! 👏🏆

The elite shot-stopper earned the prestigious individual accolade after an outstanding season between the posts for the Majestic Eagles.

Loveness finished the campaign with an impressive 19 clean sheets in 31 matches, establishing herself as one of the very best goalkeepers in the Women’s Super Division this season,Loveness Tonge has equaled last season’s clean sheet record that earned Annie Namonje the prestigious Golden Glove award.

Strong, dependable, and commanding at the back, she was truly the last line of defence for Green Eagles Women and played a huge role in helping the club finish an impressive 6th on the table.

Tonge now takes over from last season’s winner, Annie Namonje, who won the award

This marks the first Golden Glove award of her career, and it is fully deserved after such a brilliant campaign.

Her resilience, determination, leadership, and consistency made her one of the standout performers of the season and surely a player worthy of national team recognition.
