at the birth of a new era. the shift is rapid and the ripples move across the whole surface shaking everything in their path. taxis are gone, motorcycles are born. now the bus stations are dying with the introduction of shared transportation next it'l be your personal car. don't get me wrong. i welcome all this progress. but i cant sleep at night knowing that the information and profits resulting from how we move has its majority share held by other countries. the work being done by our own drivers dose not produce the same life changing results as the source country. because the tax remitted is high other principles don't matter and that if its working its cant be fixed. how about sustainability and efficiency? what about national identity pride and self awareness? for those who don't know that we eat from how we move keep selling Zambia in that way. instead of owning the right to move it will surely be taken away from you.

i believe that companies lie tango should exist in Zambia but should be provided with suitable competition. people should prioritize and promote majority owned Zambian innovations that will be emulated across the globe. what can we really call proudly Zambian if we cant even own the way we move ?

im 32 years old and i have done it most, l married, built a house and retired from work focusing on business. its just hurts me how costly transport is in Zambia. i don't believe its a global problem, its actually a perceived lifestyle and unwillingness of people to collectively make like better for one another. if we stood for our challenges like we did our Independence we can remove Zambia from Africa and the worlds perception of it. i now we all feel the same but time is running out for our next generation. we the leaders are letting the next generation down.
