Solwezi Mush*tala Stars FC, led by Club General Secretary Mr. George Mweetwa, today presented replica jerseys to Kansanshi Foundation Manager, Mr. Simon Donald Keevil, and Sports Coordinator, Ms. Theresa Roomer.

The handover was to appreciate Kansanshi Foundation for the transport support that enabled SMS FC to travel to Kabwe for the ABSA Cup preliminary games. That support was key to the team reaching the Round of 16.

Mr. Keevil welcomed the General Secretary and appreciated the gesture from the club. He commended SMS FC for using football to engage youth and contribute positively to the Solwezi community.

Solwezi Mush*tala Stars FC management, led by Club President Mr. Happy Chitanga Messiah and General Secretary Mr. George Mweetwa, today presented a replica jersey to Kansanshi Mining PLC General Manager, Mr. Meiring Burger.

The handover took place at the GM’s office in the presence of Commercial Manager Mr. Stuart Griffiths. During the meeting, the SMS FC executive gave a brief background of the club, highlighted our achievements, shared our vision, and acknowledged the challenges overcome since the club’s formation to its current status as North Western Division 1 2025/2026 Champions.

Mr. Burger expressed appreciation for the gesture and commended the management for the discipline and commitment behind the club’s progress.

President Messiah thanked Kansanshi Mining PLC, through the Kansanshi Foundation, for the transport support that enabled the team to travel to Kabwe for the ABSA Cup preliminary games. That support was instrumental in SMS FC reaching the Round of 16.

We had some view of the KABOMPO river before the game against Dipex FC.

A night before the game. The club President prophetically blessed the players with a medals sign of presentation and the bible was used as a sign of a trophy handed over to the Team captain.

The president assured them to be focused as the trophy was the target 🎯🎯🎯🎯 and indeed it came to pass.

In KABOMPO utilized self made ice blocks for relief as our boys prepared for the game against Dipex FC.

HENDRIX NKAZA ‘EVRA’ RECEIVES THE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY 🏆🏆 🏆 🏆

Today, Solwezi Mush*tala Stars FC brought the North Western Division 1 League trophy home to Hendrix Nkaza, known to all as EVRA.

Hendrix suffered an injury in training before the playoffs and missed both legs against Dipex FC. But injury could not remove his spirit, his voice, or his place in this team.

Before heading into camp in Mush*tala, the squad made a deliberate stop at Hendrix’s home in Solwezi. His teammates presented him with the trophy so he could hold it, feel it, and celebrate what he helped build during the league campaign.

This is what Peace, Love and Unity looks like in action. At SMS FC, no one is left behind. Every player, injured or fit, carries the badge and shares the victory.

Congratulations, EVRA. Congratulations, KYAPAMO BOYS.
