FAZ NORTHWESTERN PROVINCIAL D4 LEAGUE CHAMPIONS. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Royal City Academy Football Club we are the 2022/2023 FAZ Northwestern Provincial League Champions with 45points.

The league started on the 10th of September , 2022 and ended on 18th February, 2023, our first match was an away game against Mushindamo Academy FC in Mushindamo District of the Northwestern Province of Zambia. Having a 1 all draw with Mushindamo Academy FC , the results made us to have hope and courage to continue with the participation in the league especially that we were a newest team in the league and the province at large with only months old of existence.

Our experience in the first participation of the FAZ programs has really helped us to grow and understand the true nature of Zambian football.

Having played 22games in the just ended 2022/2023 football league the team's performance was so impressing having only conceded 1 walkover ( due to transport challenges) and lost 2 games.

CHALLENGES: The club doesn't have a Sponsor(s) nor receiving any sponsorship from any organization, was only depending on well-wishers who helped us to reach where are are now. Transport and Camp House management has been one of the greatest challenges that we have been facing, and apart from that the club lacks football training equipments and materials such as balls, cones, huddles etc and only have one pair of soccer jerseys.
WE THEREFORE APPEAL TO THE STAKEHOLDERS, BUSINESS PERSONNELS, LOCAL COMPANIES and FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATORS to come on board and help our talented lads progress and enhance their football careers by donating for us balls, jerseys or any of the mentioned items which will help us prepare for the Division 3 next season.

The Solwezi Municipal Council Mayor, His Worship Mr. Lemmy Kalepa's works indicates that he is on top of the game. Speaking on Tuesday morning when North Western Provincial Sports Coordinator Mr. Kondwani who was in company of The North West Bola Updates crew paid a courtesy call on him, Mr. Kalepa expressed gratitude on the humbling gesture from the sports fraternity by taking their time to visit him. The mayor indicated that, his office was running an open door policy, ready for engagement at any time with regard to sports development. "My office has also embarked on a project of engaging business communities so that they can come on board and sponsor different teams of different sports disciplines. It is my prayer that we shall atain this project as the province has vast of talent with regard to sports" added Mr. Kalepa.

Mr. Kondwani who in his brief chat with the mayor highlighted how much the province has done in terms of sports development and the massive investment the government has made, indicated that, a number of medals have been added to the provincial acorrade following a number of sports activities achieved through national events. With more funding allocated to sports, my office will, starting this week embark on a talent identification program aimed at capturing every sports talent of different age groups so that they can compete at national level. For the start, this program will be rolled out to Kasempa before heading to other districts of the province and Solwezi will be the last one where we will have a bigger event. "Said Mr. Kondwani."

And speaking on behalf of The North West Bola Updates crew, Mr. Zephaniah Mwanza briefed the mayor of how much strides have been made in trying to expose talent from North Western Province through dissemination of information to the public using social media platforms. Mr. Mwanza hinted the mayor on plans of having an annual Sports event in his honor and award Galla to award deserving sports disciplines in different fields. Mr. Mwanza also indicated that last year, The North West Bola Updates crew made a few awards in the football fraternity where one of the beneficiary was coming from Mufumbwe. "It is our humble plea with your able office Your Worship that we can probably make this award giving to our youths even bigger. I am confident with your office's influence, we can have many sponsors coming on board so that we recognize deserving youths accordingly” added Mr. Mwanza.

The mayor in response assured his guests that his office will closely work with everyone and ensure that the Youths are given the much needed platform.
