MTN SUPER LEAGUE PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN
The MTN Super League champions receive ZMW 1,000,000 (approximately $40,000 USD) a)
The prize money distribution across all 18 clubs is:
Champions β ZMW 1,000,000 (~$40,000)
Along with a copper trophy engraved with their team name
Runners-up β ZMW 350,000 (~$18,490)
Remaining 16 teams β ZMW 200,000 (~$10,566) each
So Power Dynamos, who have already been crowned champions this season, will pocket ZMW 1,000,000 for their dominant title win β well deserved after 21 wins and 72 points.
It is modest compared to other leagues on the continent, but the real financial reward for the top clubs comes through CAF competition prize money, which far exceeds domestic earnings.
