It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pardon Chifunda, our former team captain of Kalulushi Modern Stars FC, who departed in the early hours of today.

Pardon was more than just a leader on the field, he was a symbol of dedication, discipline, and unity. His contribution to the club and the football community at large will remain etched in our hearts. He inspired many through his commitment, sportsmanship, and unwavering passion for the game.

During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone at Kalulushi Modern Stars FC. May you find strength and comfort in the memories shared and the legacy he leaves behind.

The race for promotion and staying up in the league is heating up in the Faz Copperbelt Division One League, Chingola Leopards missed out on closing in on table toppers Zambezi Portland after being held to a one all draw away to Young Mufulira Wanderers at Shinde Stadium.

Ingwe keep their survival Hopes alive with an impressive two nil win against Nkumbu, neelkanth Lime and Kaleya played out to a goalless draw in the derby. While Kalulushi Modern Stars beaten 1:2 at Home by Mufulira Blackpool burying their purposed second win from their previous victory over Konkola Mine Police.

ARGENTINA FRIENDLY: Chipolopolo last night stepped up their preparations for the historic clash against world champions Argentina with a high-intensity training session at the Complejo Pedro Pompilio in Buenos Aires, the training base of Boca Juniors.

The players showed plenty of industry and full commitment to battle for a place in Head Coach George Lwandamina’s starting eleven.

Zambia will face Argentina in Buenos Aires tomorrow at 2015 hours local time (Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 01h15 Zambian time.)
