Newly elected Southern Region Soccer League chairman Chris Mtungwazi is in Morocco, where he is rallying behind the Zimbabwe Warriors, who stand a good chance of qualifying for the next round if they beat South Africa on Monday. The Warriors were unlucky to drop two points against Angola yesterday in a 1-all stalemate in Marrakech.

One of the few hat tricks we have witnessed this season!
The Talent with a Vision
Talented Talen Vision forward Butho Phiri scored a hat-trick at Dingumuzi Stadium yesterday as his team pummeled hosts Mainline with three unanswered goals in the Southern Region Soccer League.
The former Premier Soccer League side Whawha FC star, who also had a stint in Namibia, took his season's tally to nine goals. He has eight assists in the 2025 SRSL season and has been one of the most outstanding players in the league.
Phiri, however, is three goals shy of the prolific Bulawayo Chiefs speed merchant Anesu Saiti. His team moved to fifth position with 53 points, two behind fourth-placed Casmyn FC. This weekend, they host second-placed Hwange in Filabusi.
