“HUNGRY LIONS MEET NERVOUS HIPPOS AT CHISHAMISO - LFDA WARNS: WE DIDN'T COME TO SWIM!"

Hippo Valley - Saturday 3 October 2026, 15:00hrs, Chishamiso Stadium will not be a swimming pool. It will be a hunting ground.

After scoring 8 goals against Stonehinge in a friendly that looked more like a training drill, Lowveld Football Development Academy (LFDA) have sent a clear warning to Hippo U20: “Bring your boots, not your floating tubes."

Speaking from the LFDA camp this morning, sources said the strikers are still hungry. "We scored 8 and we are still not full. Hippo U20 is the main course on Saturday," said one smiling LFDA forward while lacing his golden boots.

Hippo U20, on the other hand, were last seen checking the weather forecast at Chishamiso. Unconfirmed reports say they asked if the pitch has enough water to hide in.

STAT ATTACK:
- LFDA Last Game: LFDA 8-3 Stonehinge (Goals for fun)
- Hippo U20 Last Game: Reportedly still looking for the ball
- LFDA Motto:
- Hippo U20 Motto: "...I just wanted snacks"

The LFDA Captain, wearing jersey number 11 and a captain's armband written “Hombe ihombe" said: “We respect Hippo U20, but respect doesn't mean we won't score. Chishamiso is blue and gold on Saturday."

Match officials have confirmed that there will be no lifeguards on duty. Hippos will have to survive on dry land.
