Most candles people use today are made from paraffin.

A petroleum-based product.

Cheap to produce, common in shops, but not always the best option for your environment.

===

Beeswax candles are different.

Completely natural.

Made by bees.

And used for generations long before modern paraffin candles became popular.

===

One thing many people immediately notice about beeswax candles is their burn quality.

They burn slower.

Cleaner.

And often last longer than many ordinary paraffin candles.

That means less smoke, less dripping and a more natural atmosphere indoors.

===

And here is something interesting…

For years, many people have believed that beeswax candles help improve focus, relaxation and mental clarity.

Some even claim they help increase IQ or improve thinking ability.

While there is no scientific proof that beeswax directly increases intelligence, many users say they feel calmer, more focused and mentally refreshed when using them.

Part of this may come from the warm natural light and cleaner burn compared to petroleum-based candles.

===

What makes beeswax even more valuable is this…

It is not only used for candles.

Beeswax is also used in:

• Cosmetics
• Skin care products
• Lip balm
• Soap production
• Polish and coatings
• Pharmaceutical products
• Craft industries

Which means beekeeping is not just about honey.

There are multiple income opportunities inside the bee industry.

===

Many farmers are now discovering that products from the hive can become profitable businesses on their own.

Honey.

Propolis.

Beeswax.

Pollination services.

Queen rearing.

The opportunities continue to grow.

===

That is why we are hosting The BIG Bee Keeping Training.

Most people know bees for honey.

But one of the most valuable things produced inside a hive is actually something called propolis.

And many beginner beekeepers do not even know how powerful it is.

===

Propolis is a sticky natural substance made by bees from tree resins, plant sap and other botanical materials.

Bees use it like cement inside the hive.

They seal cracks.

Close small openings.

Strengthen the hive structure.

And most importantly, they use it to protect the colony from bacteria, fungi and diseases.

That is why propolis is often called “bee glue.”

===

What makes propolis special is this…

Bees are naturally attracted to its smell.

That is why experienced beekeepers often use propolis as a natural attractant when setting up trap boxes and catching swarms.

When bees detect the smell of propolis in a trap box, it creates the feeling of an already established colony.

This increases the chances of attracting a swarm into the hive.

===

And the advantages go beyond attracting bees.

Propolis also has commercial value.

Around the world, propolis is now being used in:

• Natural medicine
• Skincare products
• Health supplements
• Soap production
• Cosmetic products
• Herbal remedies

Many farmers are now discovering that beekeeping is not only about honey production.

There are multiple income opportunities inside the bee industry.

===

But here is the challenge.

Most people enter beekeeping without understanding important practical skills like:

Hive management.

Trap box setup.

Swarm catching.

Bee behavior.

Queen management.

Hive placement.

And proper use of attractants like propolis.

Without proper knowledge, many beginners struggle to establish productive colonies.

===

That is why we are hosting The BIG Bee Keeping Training.

A queen bee is not just another bee in the hive.

She is the foundation of the entire colony.

Without a healthy queen, there is no strong hive, no growing bee population and no serious honey production.

Everything inside the colony depends on her.

===

The queen bee’s main responsibility is laying eggs.

And not just a few.

A strong queen can lay more than 1,000 eggs per day during peak season.

That is what keeps the colony growing and productive.

Worker bees may collect nectar, protect the hive and produce honey, but the queen is the reason the colony continues to exist.

===

What many people do not realize is this…

The queen also controls the behavior of the hive through special pheromones.

These natural chemical signals help maintain order inside the colony.

They influence communication, hive unity, productivity and even the mood of the bees.

When a hive has a weak queen, the colony usually becomes disorganized and less productive.

===

And this is where many beginners struggle in beekeeping.

Most people only think about harvesting honey.

But successful beekeeping starts with understanding the colony itself.

Queen identification.

Hive management.

Colony strength.

Swarming.

Bee behavior.

Honey flow periods.

These are the things that separate hobbyists from profitable beekeepers.

Feed costs are killing profits for many livestock farmers.

For most poultry, pig and fish farmers, feed can take more than half of the money made from production.

That is exactly why Black Soldier Fly farming is becoming one of the fastest growing agricultural opportunities worldwide.

===

Black Soldier Fly larvae are packed with protein, healthy fats and nutrients that livestock naturally love.

Chickens eat them.

Fish thrive on them.

Pigs respond very well to them.

Even many cattle farmers are now exploring BSF as part of sustainable farming systems.

===

What makes BSF farming powerful is this…

You are converting waste into value.

Organic waste like vegetables, fruits and kitchen leftovers can be transformed into high protein larvae for livestock feed.

Instead of throwing waste away, farmers are now using it to reduce production costs.

===

And the biggest advantage?

Lower feed costs.

Many farmers are now using BSF larvae to partially replace expensive protein sources found in commercial feed.

That means less money spent buying feed every month.

And more profit staying in your pocket.

===

But here is what most people do not realize.

BSF farming is not just about growing maggots.

There is a system behind it.

Breeding.

Egg production.

Moisture control.

Harvesting.

Waste management.

Farm setup.

Marketing.

Without proper knowledge, many people struggle to get consistent results.

===

That is why we are hosting The BIG Black Soldier Fly Farming Masterclass 04.

A practical training designed for serious farmers and agripreneurs who want to understand the full BSF farming system.

Not theory only.

✔ BSF farm setup

After the flowers bloom, it’s a strong indicator that your bees are entering honey production season 🍯, but harvesting comes after the work is done, when the nectar has been converted and the frames are properly capped, that’s when your honey is mature, high quality, and ready for the market.

Many beginners rush at the sight of flowers, but experienced beekeepers understand that flowers signal the start of the process, not the harvest itself, and knowing this difference is what protects your yield and ensures you produce thick, market-ready honey every time.

This is exactly what we focus on in our hands-on Beekeeping Training on 31 May 2026 at Mazowe Citrus Secondary School from 9am to 3pm, where you will learn tools required, hive making, trap box mounting, hive management, how to identify the right harvest time, practical hive opening, and the full business side of beekeeping so you can confidently turn each flowering season into profit.
