Week 24 Update
The league has reached its tail end and the battles on the field are getting tougher.

Sharks walloped the YDP Select side by 5 goals to 1. Experience was the decider as the Sharks played a much more offensive game and ensured that they buried the much needed goals.

Harare Stars FC were all celebrations after managing a draw against the much feared log leaders, Devine FC. The log leaders are apparently stumbling at the last minute. The match ended with both sides grabbing a goal apiece.

OK Avonlea FC proved that their win against giants Devine FC was not a fluke by registering a crucial 2 - 1 win over TK Mobile FC. With this victory, OK Avonlea have placed themselves in a position to challenge for the top 4 with 2 rounds of games remaining for most teams.

FC Nacimento took an early lead, but Club 147 bravely fought back to go 2 - 1 up at half time. The Nacimento boys made some crucial changes bringing in their star players who had been watching from the side lines. The final result of 4 goals to 2 brought immense jubilation to the Nacimento camp and total despair amongst the clubsters.

Mabelreign FC succumbed to an 'embarrassing' defeat at the hands of Real Athletico FC; the team amongst the top lost to a team amongst the bottom. The 1 zero result, however, was not a surprise to many neutrals as the Athletico boys have been building a formidable side all along.

Riverside FC came into the weekend's game determined to change their fortunes. They thought, finally they had managed just that when with a few seconds remaining on the clock, they led 1 zero. Avonlea FC was awarded a very late penalty and the match ended in a 1 all draw.

The encounter between 11 Stars FC and Green Valley FC was mouth watering. After conceding an early goal, 11 Stars never gave in and were relentless in their attack and resolute in their defense. The match ended 4 - 2 in favour of 11 Stars FC.

Week 23 Update
The shock defeat of Devine FC on the hands of OK Avonlea FC was the headline of the weekend's results. With everyone expecting a routine victory for the log leaders, OK Avonlea had other ideas. After going one up, they resolutely defended and produced some attempts at goal as well. Eventually, the holy boys could not get the Divine intervention this time around and they succumbed to their first defeat in open play.

YDP U20 Select were up against the combative Athletico boys. The battle was tough and exciting. Real Athletico FC, however, went away with a much needed victory after edging the Select side by 2 goals to 1.

The youngsters from Avonlea who had been on a winning run in their last few matches were given a rude awakening by the valley boys. Green Valley FC was in a no-nonsense mood as they dispatched Avonlea FC by 2 goals to 1.

FC Nacimento fell to a painful defeat at the hands of their fellow adversary TK Mobile FC. With the players trading barbs during the course of the week, the game was predictably going to be a crunch one. And it leaved up to expectations. 1 nil in favour of TK Mobile FC is how the match ended.

The big match of the weekend was between Mabelreign FC and Sharks FC. Mabelreign FC had approached the match with 3 points already in their pockets. They probably had not seen the hugely improved Sharks FC in play lately. As it were, Mabelreign FC were thoroughly beaten and were laid to rest through 3 well taken goals. On their part, they could not find even a consolation goals.

Club 147 FC tried a very exciting come back when they fought back from 4 goals down to eventually lose 4 - 5 against Harare Stars FC. This was certainly one of the most exciting games of the weekend.

Riverside FC have been placed in their correct position maybe. After appearing to take the league by storm, the veterans of the league quickly studied them and have made sure that they should not get any more points.

Week 22 Update
Another exciting weekend was in store for the neutrals.

Avonlea FC are enjoying themselves and are repaying the faith placed in them by their sponsors. They could have easily clobbered the clubsters by more goals had it not been for a disallowed goal and some missed chances. The final result was Avonlea FC 1 and Club 147 FC 0. Club 147 FC have recorded a string of losses and are sliding down the standings.

Sharks FC have continued on their transformation and are recording very crucial wins. Green Valley FC took an early lead and looked like they were going to upset the favourites, but the Sharks maintained their composure and they were able to overturn the negative start. 2 - 1 in favour of Sharks FC is how the match would end.

YDP U20 Select played an exciting match and again failed to capitalize on their dominance. On the other hand, OK Avonlea FC were playing to win and they were able to close shop after scoring 2 goals. The youngsters only managed one goal by way of consolation.

A clash of tough teams was witnessed between Real Athletico FC and TK Mobile FC. Both teams are hard fighters and the match was a gruelling one. In the end, a draw was a fair result. Each team managed to score 2 goals. Real Athletico FC are fighting to move away from their permanent home; third from the bottom. Whilst on the other hand, TK Mobile FC feel they have a chance to end up amongst the top 4.

FC Nacimento squared off with Mabelreign FC with the winner vying for second position. The game had to be decided by a freak goal as the Nacimento goalie allowed a weak ball to roll through his legs. And it was celebration for Mabelreign FC as they held on to win by 2 goals to 1.

Riverside FC who have been on an unimpressive run could at least celebrate a draw this weekend. Harare Stars FC came into the game hoping to pile up the misery on the stream bank boys, but they failed to score a goal. A share of spoils at zero zero score line became the final result.

11 Stars FC showed their true character as they took away a point from the run away leaders, Devine FC. The 2 - 2 draw has given the chasing pack a bit of hope; they can now dream of catching up with the leaders with 4 games remaining.

Week 21 Update
Avonlea FC were all celebrations after holding the log leaders to a 2 - 2 draw. And it was understandable; the log leaders have been so ruthless and have rarely dropped points throughout the season.

Mabelreign FC and OK Avonlea FC also fought to another 2- 2 draw. The much fancied Mabelreign FC could not breakdown the resolute OK Avonlea side.

Harare Stars FC ran riot in the valley. The marauding city boys scored 4 goals without any reply. The whole of Harare was thrown into a celebratory mood by this rare big win.

Sharks asserted themselves as a team on the rise by outclassing TK Mobile FC by 2 goals to zero. The mobility boys are proving to be a tough team to beat, however, they came unstuck against the Sharks. With this victory, Sharks edged into third position and are now part of the battle for second position.

FC Nacimento fought a tough battle with a strengthened YDP Select side. The teams were balanced and the match was a must win for the Nacimento boys as they looked to hang on to second position. They were eventually able to walk away with a 2 nil victory.

Real Athletico FC are registering some important victories now and again. This weekend was no exception as they outclassed Riverside FC by 2 goals to 1. Riverside themselves continue to struggle to get back the winning formula.

11 Stars FC edged past Club 147 by 2 goals to nil. It was a clash of two teams on contrasting runs. 11 Stars are trying to get up the ladder and to be counted amongst the top 4, whereas Club 147 are fighting a battle of avoiding to get into the bottom 4.

The permutations are getting exciting and it's that time when changes can happen every weekend; both at the top and at the bottom of the log.

Week 20 Update
Devine FC appear to be on a relentless and ruthless march towards the title. This time around Real Athletico FC were their hapless victims. The holy boys fired an avalanche of four goals past the bemused goalkeeper of their opponents. The usually combative Athletico boys were unable to conjure their magic and have already started preparing for the next battle.

A battle of the mid-tablers ensued between OK Avonlea FC and Club 147 FC. It was a balanced match, but at the end of it all, OK Avonlea went away with the bragging rights after overcoming their opponents by 2 goals to 1.

Harare Stars FC were in a no-nonsense mood as they played against the youngsters of the YDP Select. They created the chances and converted almost everything which came their way. Their scintillating performance saw them bag 5 goals without conceding anything. The YDP boys have effectively become the whipping boys of the league and they need to come up with a formula of finding some wins.

Avonlea FC scored an early goal to take the lead against a depleted FC Nacimento. They continued to push forward in order to capitalize on the situation, but could not add decisive goals. As soon as the Nacimento boys got settled they found an equaliser and the complexion of the game quickly changed. Despite applying pressure, the Nacimento boys could also not find another goal and the match ended in a 1 all draw.

TK Mobile FC produced a superb performance to outclass the hard running valley boys. In a seesaw match in which goals were traded in equal measure, it appeared as though a draw would be the final result, but TK Mobile managed to get the winning goal to leave the game on 3- 2 in their favour.

Sharks FC managed to get a routine win against an out of sorts Riverside FC. Sharks have now fully reinvented themselves. At the beginning of the season it was all draws and losses, but now it's all wins. On the other hand Riverside came into the league with a bang, but it's all misery and glo
