Do you ever feel so anxious about something that you can't even move, breath or even think?
Sometimes I'm so horrified about all the possible negative outcomes when doing something new. I'm not even talking about jumping off a plane or rock climbing 14,000 ft, I'm talking about things that might seem simple to other people but for me they aren't; like public speaking, sharing my personal thoughts, leaving a job that doesn't make me happy or even telling somebody how important they are for me. These are things that deep in my being I want to do, but the blood will burn in my veins reminding me that I might encounter shame and of course rejection.
As somebody that was looking for validation all the time while growing up, it is normal that the echo of that voice tries to stop me from doing something that threatens my confidence.
Every single day we have the option to face our fears. We can choose to stay in the safety of our comfort zone or walk through the tunnel of our bu****it stories and beliefs to find the greatness of our growth.
That doesn't mean we should ignore our fears, but the best way to conquer them is being aware and understanding why they exist and what they are trying to communicate to us.
This is an ongoing work and you don't need to do this alone, you can get some help and learn how to do it on your own. I would love to walk through this process with you!
