π₯ Chief Instructor's Inspiring Message During the Team Building and Victory Party π
Following the successful 4th Black Belt Awarding Ceremony held on June 6, 2026, at Mamis Farm, our Chief Instructor, Zigomar F. Cruz, Sensei shared a powerful and thought-provoking message with all athletes, parents, instructors, and guests.
In his speech, Sensei reminded everyone that achieving a Black Belt is a remarkable milestone, but true growth begins after the promotion. He emphasized that many athletes stop improving not because they have reached their full potential, but because they unknowingly develop habits that limit their progress.
He highlighted five common reasons why athletes stop improving:
β
Training Hard but Not Smart
β
Avoiding Technical Corrections
β
Being Constantly Tired and Calling It Hard Work
β
Having a Mind Full of Noise
β
Forgetting Why You Started
Sensei reminded everyone that a plateau does not always mean you have reached your limit. More often, it is a sign that something in your training, mindset, recovery, or purpose needs adjustment.
He encouraged all Bushido Warriors to remain humble, disciplined, coachable, and committed to lifelong learning. Whether a student is a beginner, a competitor, or a Black Belt, there is always room for improvement.
His message concluded with a challenge to every athlete:
"Ask yourself: Are you truly at a plateau, or have you simply stopped growing? Continue learning, continue listening, and continue striving to become better than you were yesterday."
The speech served as a powerful reminder that success in martial artsβand in lifeβis not about reaching a destination, but about embracing a lifelong journey of growth, resilience, and self-improvement.
π₯ Oss! Let's continue to train with purpose, learn with humility, and grow together as one Bushido family. π₯

A night filled with pride, gratitude, and achievement as we celebrated the 4th Black Belt Awarding Ceremony of Bushido Martial Arts & Fitness at Mamis Farm.
Earning a Black Belt is not the end of the journeyβit is the beginning of a greater responsibility. Behind every Black Belt are years of hard work, discipline, perseverance, sacrifices, and countless hours of training. This milestone reflects the true spirit of Bushido: respect, integrity, courage, humility, and continuous self-improvement. These values are at the heart of martial arts and the Bushido way.
Congratulations to all our new Black Belts and Dan Passers! May you continue to lead by example, inspire others through your actions, and remain humble as you grow in skill, character, and leadership.
A heartfelt thank you to all parents, families, and supporters who have been part of this journey. Together, we continue to build stronger warriorsβnot only in the dojo but in life.
Once a student, always a student. Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep the Bushido spirit alive.
