When I started in tech, finding clients that paid £2k or £3k was no big deal.

It felt like playing a game on easy mode.

When I started earning £10k a month, I felt like chilling.

Imagine biking up a hill and halfway up you find a resting spot with a great view.

I chatted with my buddy, (a fellow software developer) Manpreet, about my slump.

He had a fun but effective idea to put a financial penalty for my “laziness”:

"How about you give me £10,000 if you don't land a big client in the next 30 days?"😅

That challenge made me super focused.

I didn't want to lose that money! 😫

So I learned new things, tried different strategies, and really pushed myself.

And guess what? I got that big client before the 30 days ended. 🏆

It made me realize that sometimes, you need a fun challenge (or a friend with a wild bet) to push you to the next level.

Here's the thing:

Whether it's £10,000, £100, or just pride on the line, we all need something to push us beyond our comfort zones ✅
