I met today with 40 founders and CEOs from leading Indian unicorn companies at the World Government Summit – Griffin Dialogue. We discussed Dubai and the UAE’s commitment to cross-border partnerships, innovation, and collaboration in technology, AI, and entrepreneurship.

Dubai's world-class business environment continues to attract high-quality investments, reinforcing its position as a global destination for billion-dollar companies and visionary entrepreneurs. Our goal is to empower a new generation of startups to become influential players in the global economy — from Dubai, the city that shapes the future.

Today, I visited Expand North Star 2025, the world’s largest event for startups and investors, held as part of GITEX Global. We are proud of the event’s remarkable growth since 2016, with the number of participating companies rising 471% from 350 to 2,000, investors surging 700% from 150 to 1,200 and international participation expanding from 39 to 100 countries. We thank the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy team for their role in cementing Dubai’s position as a global hub for digital economy, bringing together entrepreneurs and investors from around the world. We look forward to even greater successes as Expand North Star moves with GITEX Global to Expo City Dubai in December 2026.

During my meeting with Ben Lamm, Co-Founder and CEO of Colossal Biosciences, a leading biotechnology and genetic engineering company, I was briefed on the organisation’s pioneering initiatives to protect endangered species and preserve biodiversity through advanced biotechnology applications.

I reaffirmed Dubai’s and the UAE’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships in science and technology, advancing a sustainable future and safeguarding our planet for generations to come.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision is clear: Dubai must be the best, the most beautiful, the most refined, and the most civilized city in the world.

This was the direction His Highness gave during the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum.

To turn this vision into reality, we issued a resolution to establish the Dubai Civility Committee.
The Committee is chaired by Mohammed Al Gergawi, with Mattar Al Tayer as Deputy Chair, and members Abdulla Al Basti, Omar Al Olama, Abdullah Al Marri, Helal Al Marri, and Marwan bin Ghalita — a team fully trusted to accomplish this mission.

Our mandate is clear: to present to the world the most refined modern-day experience in the world — a living model of progress, values, and human dignity.
