G U L F R A D I C A L C U P 🇦🇪
Last weekend saw RAW’s debut in the UAE, beginning with three races at the 16-turn, 3.45 kms National Circuit at the Dubai Autodrome.

Ian Aguilera, the 17 year old superstar from Guadalajara, Mexico dominated the proceedings, winning both Sprint races on the Saturday and the 45 minute Enduro race on the Sunday to lead the championship.
Aguilera set the two fastest laps in the early morning Quali session to claim pole position in both Sprint races by just two tenths from GRC regulars Alim Geshev and last years Vice Champion Usman Mughal.

Both 25 minute Sprint races were won convincingly by Aguilera, there was close racing behind-RAW driver Julien Monie showed great improvement from last season, having had a very consistent drive picking up two 7th place finishes.

Zig Fuhrmeister who had been coached by Rob throughout the weekend had a great day finishing in 5th and 6th place.

Sunday’s 45 minute Endurance race with a mandatory pit stop for all drivers saw Ian Aguilera start on Pole, but this time with Mughal next to him on the front row. As the race started with its customary rolling start it was Aguilera again in the lead, drawing a 7 second lead by the end of the pit stops.
Julien Monie enjoyed another fabulous race taking 5th place, just behind Zig Fuhrmeister.

We now head to Abu Dhabi for the Radical World Finals!

As part of Rob’s coaching contract with , he recently headed out to the infamous for round 4 of , coaching in the with and the drivers of car #5 and car #15 in the European Le Mans Series! It was a very successful week, culminating in 2 superb wins for Ian Aguiler and 5th for car #15. On next to Mugello for round 5.

Back in warmer times ‘Bitza’ made her way over to live in Denmark with and , Rob went out too and provided Technical and Engineering support to the team, together with coaching and came away with P2 which was pretty great for a Radical SR3 when up against LMP3’s!
