It was a great experience working with the ESFI and Inox to make it such a huge event

Physical selections were conducted at Inox and with Racing Simulators , this giving an opportunity to everyone to participate, irrespective of whether they own gaming equipment

The online selections had India's top sim racers

The finale was a Hybrid event :
Winners of online selections were racing from their homes, winners of physical selections were racing from Inox using Racing Simulators

The most exciting thing was : The race being livestreamed on a Inox Movie screen

It was great feeling, considering 2 years back we started IR Esports during the pandemic with the team members sitting at home trying to figure things out

Haven't had the time to post about this, but finished 2nd Overall in the Volkswagen National Championship

The Championship concluded 2 months back 😅, but here's how it went :

I have been so close to Winning three Seasons in a row , so it's a little frustrating.

But it has been the best I have driven so far.
The grid was super competitive, had a little bad luck and made some mistakes. Hence every podium and point was hard earned.

But I thoroughly enjoyed each and every race.
Biggest takeaway from the Season for me was the change in my mental approach.

The experience of building from the ground up during the pandemic, transformed me as an individual, and that paid a lot of dividends during my Racing season

Under pressure my self talk was - I can handle it easily.
On a bad day I went to sleep peacefully knowing I will turn it around the next day.
During intense battles in the middle of the Races I was laughing inside my helmet whenever I pulled off a crazy move.

I barely felt any stress during the season even as one of the Championship contenders.

And I wasn't even sulking at the Award ceremony even though it wasn't the best feeling missing out on the Championship 3 seasons in a row.

Came back to my hotel room from the Award Ceremony , wrote down my goals for Racing and IR Esports for the coming year and got to work the next morning

3rd Place in Race 1 of the MRF MMSC Volkswagen National Championship

Super proud to carry the logo of something we have built over the last 18 months with a great team

Not the ideal start to the season though
Went there prepared to put it on pole and Win
Some tire issues lead to a below average result in Qualifying.

Started 7th and made my way upto 3rd while clocking the fastest lap of the Race.

Had to really work for this Podium , so it felt satisfying.

Will be going to the next rounds better to prepared to get Race Wins and win the Championship
